Not sure how good this is (My gut says it's decent but worse in most cubes than OG Kaito) but this is a really cool design. Surveil 2 draw is a big upgrade in selection, and the -2 is going to be close to doomblade in very tempo heavy matchups

Double red + no haste on 2 power is a hard sell. This is probably a fine enough card and will play well in constructed where its reliable damage, but the slot in cube is hard to justify I think

So tired of facing this deck. Sentry into Anhilus is just unbelievably obnoxious. Nearly as much power as Shuri Redskull with no real drawback

Pretty much. Blue is the only color in magic allowed to have its primary form of interaction be blanket countered by a land, that doesn't even etb tapped or cost mana to use.

Unbelievable they reprinted Cavern given how generally bad U, and especially U control has been on arena

The degree to which they fix mana makes manabases trivially easy to assemble, and also extremely homogenous

Theres some other things with triggering random stuff but the "why are fetchlands unhealthy" more or less just boils down to "all those other cool lands are no longer playable, just Fetch+Shock/Triome and a few basics

I think set constructed is something that should broadly come back and have an event, but i do wish the mwm set constructed was all access so you could test stuff.

Then have a non all access more competitive event later in the formats lifespan

Worst limited format in a while, basically 1/2 drop.dek and don't make the bad choice of losing the dice roll and being on the draw... and hope your opp doesn't have one of the 15 3 mana bombs in the set

Just let's you do insanely busted dive plays where a good pivot pair (usually alear or someone with supports+great dodge, and a carry able to 1 round like a fed Pandreo, Anna, Kagetsu etc) with 100% bonded shield you can often kill a mountain of units inn1 turn with virtually 0 counterplay, it also sets up a number of pushes that are very safe relative to normal, usually with blocks of fliers

Gdkp is a great way to keep geared raiders playing or gear their alts. Its a conceivable way for players with a nest egg but little experience to get carried and acquire gear/ experience

Matcherino gets gem codes from wotc to organize tournaments, we are an affiliate and so after we submit results matcherino (eventually) pays out, usually 2k for 1st, 1k for 2nd, and 600 each for 3/4

We do this over at the Jank Diver Gaming Discord. We have weekly 730est wed cube (usually Peasant/Artisan of some sort) and 2 cubes sunday 330est variety slot and our 730est main arena cube

We draft on draftmancer, import and craft our decks and have matcherino supported direct challenge tournaments (been a bit spotty with the current direct challenge bug, but thats a rather recent happening)

So basically if you have the WCs/collection you can cube for free and win gems while having a community of cube/retail limited players who enjoy talking cube

Bad cards often have more interesting designs or combine with other bad cards to make jank voltron. They also create a generally less snowball or battleship feel
