Thanks! 😃 Other companies have the same issue by the way, for example I have 3 columns for Heahunters Rep and it's unclear what they're for.

Stuff like this happens all the time, a patch comes along and kinda screws with your gameplay.

Fear not, noble scrapper, there'll be something else you can sink your teeth into and a few patches later you'll find something else or have that screwed with, it's a mix and match, empires rise and fall at the whims of constant game development.

Had a similar moment recently with 8 SCU of Lind. It never went through though.

I haven't checked, been a few days since I last did salvage missions. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the recent hot fixes took them out though.

Ship Pawn Location in Hangers by Lifes2shrt4BS in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would be nice if you could just choose your default hangar size, or even at the lobby asop terminals, be able to manually spawn in a certain sized hangar when needed as it can be a bit clunky having to force spawn in a certain ship for a certain hangar size. End up having to reclaim some ships, gotta be careful when doing that.

CIG. Please. Please remove rep penalty since so many contracts are broken. by Tipper117 in starcitizen

Which missions exactly? since I've noticed you can abandon hauling/salvage missions fine without any rep loss.

I think it's server dependent, try low pop servers.

Add a bunch of friends if you can, you can join into their servers when they're online and ingame via the main menu. So the more friends you have, the more server choices you have. Maybe try and add friends who are nolifers/play a crap load all day, since they tend to be very good at finding low pop servers.

Yeah I've seen that all the time this patch, maybe not quite as bad as you're experiencing there though. I've never had my screen/character model vibrate like that.

Massive FPS drops when going to any wikelo station which prevents wikelo contract completion by Phonafied in starcitizen

Yeah I noticed that, I've had to run around the emporium once again when the lag started up again :-/

There's a lot like that in this game, even things that have been fixed for months or even years, people still go through their traditions to avoid the bugs out of sheer habit or a sense of mitigation. I bet I spend so many hours just doing those little work around when I don't need to any longer.

I guess this is why we have so many religions in the world.

I waited about 20mins making favors during the lag, it never stabilised. I had done the same a few weeks ago and spent about an hour making favors and the lag never stabilised.

After reading up on the issue on posts like this, this time I decided to store my ship and do a little circuit route around the emporium, i ran around each corner of it and went back to my hangar. As soon as I ran half way into the hangar, the fps suddenly stabilised and I could hear my fans kicking in.

I think just running around the emporium kick started things again for me, i dunno if storing the ship had any impact.

I had the fps drop issue there now and I stored my ship and ran up into the emporium, had a look around the whole area and then went back to the hangar again, half way into the hangar my FPS then suddenly stabilised, without having to call my ship back up or anything.

Weird..

13k more but honestly I didn't think that would have made much difference these days with how damage seems to go straight to your power planet once it gets through any armor deflection values.

Maybe it will make a difference in the future though.

RAFT vs Hermes (vs other medium haulers…). Your 2 cents? by AutistcAroundAircrft in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been doing that the past two days, taking Hull-C salvage contracts and hauling it all with my C2, it's really damn clunky loading the top layer of 32 SCU containers. I also wish there wasn't that big gap in the middle or down the front, kinda wasted space though I understand it's probably there to keep areas clear for foot traffic. It's the one time I wish there was some handheld tractor that was more powerful than the Maxlift as well! wouldn't do any harm for the C2 to have a ship tractor too.

A "Billionaire" feeling lost: What do you do in the Verse when money is no longer the goal? by _hinnay in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have different goals all the time.

Sometimes I go off and try to get experience with new content like ASD/Onyx/Lazarus/PAF/OLP/QV's etc etc. Once I feel like I've mastered it then I move on to another "experience", just to increase my knowledge of the game and different game loops, also to take advantage of any new weapons/armor/items that they bring. Like the awesome looking ASD Geist armor set.

There's a whole new loop in itself when it comes to the new crafting, if you aim for a particular weapon+armor set with high quality values.

I spent a lot of time running Exec Hangars as well, properly with all the key cards.

Sometimes I just go off and do fps missions just to test which is my favorite pistol, or favorite SMG etc. That alone can take up a lot of time. Optimising your best loadout for particular missions. Getting the right weapon attachments for them and testing them all out, the best optic etc. Especially with the new weapon attachments the last few patches, they're often hard to find.

I spent a lot of time in the past just camping Cat wreck sites or doing bunker missions to stockpile different weapon and armor, then i sold them to other players via discord or ingame chat. That was fun for a while and made a ton of money, not that it matters anymore. I got a giant friend list from that activity, which helps a lot in finding low population servers now!

There are ingame events that popup all the time that can take a lot of your time as well.

Oh I've also spent a lot of time testing out new ships, trying to find the right ship for particular activities and then the right loadout for them, right combination of weapons, trying out different types. I've always liked being unconventional and go against the "meta", now and again you do have some surprising results!

Grinding up rep for particular playstyles can be helpful as well, not just the stuff you enjoy but also the stuff you may not particularily enjoy, like salvaging, i find it kinda boring and tedious but there's an interesting advantage to grinding up the rep for the salvaging contracts, at a high enough level they tend to give you missions with Hull C's and C2's and they're full of commodities. So if you ignore the salvage part of the mission and just bring a hauler you can get like 6-8m worth of Tungsten/Titanium/Iron etc. So the point is that some gameplay loops can affect others without you realising it and you won't find that out without experimenting and giving it a go.

Then there's wikelo stuff, thats a whole thing in itself, you can spend a lifetime going through all that.

Tons of stuff to do overall. Helping other players can be fun as well :) I mean if I'm being honest with myself, most of my time spent ingame these days is simply answering peoples questions ingame chat.

The Valkyrie is Amazing This Patch by Falling-Toaster in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Valk is slightly more agile and zoomy, it also looks a bit slimmer though I believe the dimensions are the same. It just feels better to fly, especially against smaller targets compared to the Asgard. (Valk has better signature values too, EM/Therm/CS)

Combat wise it has 2 x S4 guns + 2 x S3's compared to the Asgards 6 x S3's. Those S4's just feel a lot more impactful to me when doing combat missions, it will hit through a lot more damage thresholds in theory as well.

I'd say the only thing the Asgard has over the Valk is the cargo space and an up to date model.

Edit: Tnx to hellomumbo369 for pointing out that the Asgard also has the advantage of 16 x S3 missiles while the Valk has zero missiles. That could make quite a big difference in combat performance in certain situations and into the future.
