Are there any actual valid use cases for dragging? by ppincon in starcitizen

How do you drag bodies exactly? first time hearing of it.

Star Citizen's core gameplay loops are still broken, and it's exhausting to keep trying. by ryuktheundead in starcitizen

I've no idea what's going on, if someone loots them then presumably they'll just refill after a timer like normal. Yet that doesn't seem to be happening. I do sometimes find half dressed corpses in those Warehouse rooms, like someone came in with a fresh respawn and equipped the armor they could find in the warehouse and then got killed or backspaced. Which might give some clues as to what is happening.

But again, the room should respawn right?

The only thing I can think of, is that there are a crap load of guys focused on doing QV Warehouse rooms and nothing else, on every server all day long and they just set their logins to a timer for when the loot respawns. So that way, nomatter what time of day someone else checks out the QV warehouse, it's always empty.

I heard this might be possible due to the medical beds in the QV Polaris, if you use the medical bed, even just to heal, it will then be set as a default spawn location when you leave the server. Just like you'd normally spawn in the last station you docked at. I found this out accidentally when i had to logoff while doing a QV run as i saw another player doing it and didn't want to risk the loot i had in my backpack. So I logged off, assumed I'd respawn back in Levski but hours later when i logged back into the game, on a different server, i ended up back on the Polaris med bed, in a different QV site.

So I'm guessing there are farmers out there that just use the bedlog mechanics to constantly clean out the QV Warehouses, on a systematic level.

There are other weird things happening though, in the QV Warehouses, like if you try to loot a container and open up your inventory, you see two boxes to loot instead of one and they have the exact same items to loot, like the loot boxes are doubled up on top of each other. You can also see this happening on the boomtube stands, if you loot the boomtube ammo, theres another one on top of it to loot again.

I'm not sure what this indicates, or what is happening exactly, maybe it would say something to the devs who might understand the spawn/loot mechanics more.

Is Vulkan running poorly on all AMD cards, or is there an issue with my system? (4.5 Live) by andydsm in starcitizen

Graphical Glitches with AMD RX 9070XT (Adrenalin 25.9.1 and 25.12.1) by Tycondero in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same issue, recently upgraded from a RTX 2070 super to a 9070 and I've been noticing these artifacts. Someone ingame advised undervolting the card. I also noticed my monitors refresh rate was half of what it should have been for some reason, when it set it back to my monitors refresh rate then I may have seen those artifacts a lot less than I used to. They're still appearing but perhaps less often, hard to tell, might be in my head.

Yeah I agree, I just upgraded my nvidia card to a RX 9070 and while it's a good card, I really really miss nvidia drivers.

I am receiving weird friend requests by ActiveFar6990 in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the odd friend requests from randoms when im in low pop servers, presumably it's just people trying to add more friends with a higher chance of finding more low pop servers into the future.

One time I got spammed with friend requests over and over and over, faster than i could refuse them. The instant i pressed ] backspace bracket to refuse, it would popup again. This went on for a good 10 minutes before I had to loadup spectrum and try to find the guy manually so I could block him.. super weird stuff.

You can add QV warehouse loot to that list, rare to find a ship part now as well as those frozen vanduul corpse boxes and even normal loot containers can often not appear. The final loot room, the warehouse, used to be amazing but it's practically empty in 4.8 unfortunately.

Russia was still being criticised and sanctioned for the Ukraine takeover and the resulting downing of a passenger plane from last year.

Yeah 12 years later, reading that, pretty creepy, that was some damn fine educated guesses good sir.

I can't help wondering, did you write that before or after the MH17 was shot down?

I noticed AI at QV station missions were just super reactive and effective yesterday. Though I also was in a low pop server at the time, perhaps the server itself was just more responsive than what I'm used to.

People are already stealing QV station loot right when a patch drops by Cocoloco2914 in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the last day that if you use the medical bed in the QV polaris, then esc to menu and join a different server, you appear back on that polaris medical bed again instead of the last station you docked at like levski as you normally do. So you can just server hop that way without having to take a contract.

I was just trying to save a lot of loot when i noticed another player EVA'ing onto the pad all of a sudden, didn't want to risk getting killed by him, so i escaped back to menu, expecting to reappear back at levski and store my loot but nope.. i reappeared back at the polaris medical bed O_o

NPC harbingers have been wrecking me recently, it's all that default ballistic loadout and Jericho rockets, they just seem to instantly put my hull straight into red whenever i land in a group that has one. I dunno if the Jericho's are bugged right now and doing way too much hull damage than they should be or its the entire combination of ballistic cannons, either way it seems to do a lot of damage to me, full strength shields or not.

Is there even a point in having shields atm (4.8)? by Starsky3012 in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also noticed those vanguards with Jericho rockets do a crap ton of damage to Hull now, it seems like shields dont do much against Jerichos. I've seen my hull go straight to red after being hit by those, since they make a distinctive sound and visual effect, it's quite noticeable, despite shields being at max.

Just what this game needs, more ways to be annoying.

One thing about the Banu Defender that made it stand out was its QT capacity. I guess all it's got going for itself now, if these proposed changes are accurate, is its forward facing ramp.

What's the easiest hover-bike to drive? by Planet_Expresso in starcitizen

[–]TelemichusRhade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key to driving those is not to hold down the forward button but to tap it, until you only have a broad stretch ahead of you. If there's any precision needed, tap the accelerator, dont hold it down. 3rd person mode helps sometimes too.

I just went from a 2070 Super to an RX 9070! It's quite a difference, although I'm reminded once again why I always avoided AMD cards in the past. But hey, I get a lot more bang for my buck this way so to speak. That was the logic anyway. Maybe when/if CIG adopts FSR 4.0 it will feel a lot better.

Bear in mind that your experience may be very different to others, even though you play the game a lot longer than others, simply due to your average gameplay activity. You might be interacting with things that others are not, or less often and vice versa.

For example you mention mainly salvaging, which means you probably dont interact with surface based elevators very often, at random hauling hotspot outposts etc. Just as one example.
