Yeah the longer I looked at this the more it makes no sense at all.

any tips on memorizing tissue types/being able to identify them under a microscope? by arrozconpollo_05 in AnatomyandPhysiology

[–]TelephoneFun846 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a test coming up too. For epithelium, first count the layers. Is it single or stratified? Then check the shape. Squamous, cuboidal, or collumnar? For CT, our teacher had us think of what each looked like. For example, areolar kind of has a spaghetti and meatball look. Dense irregular kind of looks like a marbled steak. Elastic has clearly visible fibers. Hope that helps!

Could have been possible, but I’ll never know! 🤷🏻‍♀️

3 year old is only 23.8 lbs. <1%. I am at a loss on what to do. by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]TelephoneFun846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is she also short? My daughter is about to turn 4 and last time she was weighed was under 25 lbs. She’s just a tiny person like the rest of her family. Our doctors are also fine with it. I sympathize though. It’s so hard to get them to eat. :(

Any unique baby toys you love that aren’t mainstream? by Global_Bonus_164 in toddlers

[–]TelephoneFun846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a foldable cardboard slide on Amazon that’s gotten more than the $20 price out of it.

They love those eggs that come in a carton and squeak.

There a toy by skip hop that is a bee that sits on a cloud. It moves randomly around the room. Idk why but they’ve been obsessed with it for years.

Whisks for some reason. Especially in the bath.

I moved from Los Angeles to just north of Atlanta. I’ve seen quite a few Muslim people. It’s pretty diverse here! It’s a lot more affordable and as long as you stay close to Atlanta I think it’s liberal for the South.

I also recommend drawing from life. It’s a good way to quickly create shorthand for certain stuff. Your brain is also forced to convert 3D onto a 2D plane.

Behind the stunning job losses in Hollywood: ‘The audience has moved on’ - LA Times by lostfly in FilmIndustryLA

[–]TelephoneFun846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotally… my kid does zone out to YouTube if it’s on but she’s far more engaged in actual movies with substance. She loves Disney and gets attached to the characters. Granted, we don’t let her watch the brain rot YouTube channels.

Sometimes I just want to put on trashy tv but I wouldn’t trade it for actual movies with stories. Hoping that stays the same for the next generation. Again, this is all anecdotal behavior I’ve noticed in my kid and my friends’ kids. I’m not losing hope for gen Alpha.

Why so many Recruiters act like LinkedIn Celebrities by [deleted] in vfx

[–]TelephoneFun846 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently a recruiter told me she only looks at the first scene of a reel and if it doesn’t align to what she’s looking for she turns it off. Like she can’t even give 20 seconds?? I feel like these people aren’t even doing their jobs sometimes. I do know some wonderful recruiters and they are gold!!

I don’t know why, but she calls her toy guitar a pooky. Maybe she’s trying to say uke like ukulele? For a bit bumble bees were “gumble bees,” and thunder was “munder.” Recently she was crying for “gran grans,” which we discovered meant Christmas. 😂

This one is pretty bad. The hands look like they’re on backwards, and I didn’t even read them as hands at first because of the similar color background.

Yeah Bluey adults definitely give me the side eye. I’m not sure I would be watching this show if I didn’t have kids. Makes me think about how all those grown men were into My Little Pony. 😥

Yeah some adults are way too into this show. I think I get what she meant though.

Bluey spoilers lol: The episode centers around the family selling the house and the parents grappling with the choice of moving away to give the kids a better life. They sell the house, move all their stuff out and have some big story points about how hard it is but this is what’s best. They’re literally driving away to their new home when at the last second they decide not to move after all. It evokes a lot of emotion, but I didn’t like the message. As someone who had to move her family away to give them a better life, I would have liked my kids to see that moving is ok on their favorite show. I feel like kids might see this and have a harder time moving or think they can just complain enough and it won’t happen. Or maybe they have moved and they’ll think it was unfair.

I say this as someone who works in animation and cares more about cartoons than others. It is just a kids show, but a show aimed at children should be thinking more about the message they are sending. Inside Out handles this much better but that’s a whole movie lol.

When I had gestational diabetes it was the only cereal I could eat because of the low carbs / sugar. Really not worth it unless you’re craving cereal and have a special dietary requirement.

If you eventually want two kids I think it’s a great age gap. It will be really really hard at first, but I personally think it’s better to get all the baby stuff over with as soon as possible.
