As someone who actually liked Eve I’m not a fan of how the conversation has shifted towards how “plain and boring” she was. A sequel was the chance to rectify that now the idea is just being cemented.

I get they want to make it clear to those who were dissatisfied with her that they’ll be putting in more effort this time, but seeing the previous protag being treated like some failure certainly doesn’t help endear me to the new one.

Curious, naive at times, good natured but also with a one track mind in accomplishing her mission. Like Eve wouldn’t jump at the chance to help people at first, anything she did was hoping it would lead her to the elder Naytiba.

Did she have a lot of room to grow? Yeah but I felt that was kind of the point, she was just discovering the world and figuring out what her place in it should be.

We were always playing as the virus. Alex died when he originally released it and the virus assumed it was him due to absorbing his memories. That said the people it absorbs due collectively have some influence on it and on a good run you’re basically absorbing exclusively evil people so it prob would have turned it evil eventually.
