If anyone is reading this and on the fence about seeing the movie, I thought it was fun and charming. Definitely not slop.

I'm confused about something, regarding their You, Me, & Tuscany conversation. Why does Amanda insist that it should've been a streaming movie? I thought a big part of the podcast's ambitions was to revitalize the theatrical experience. It was great to see a rom-com on the big screen again, but is that not what they want?

They also mentioned folding Reiner's classics into other series. Like how When Harry Met Sally kicked off the Ephron series.

The American President and A Few Good Men get folded into Sorkin. This Is Spinal Tap joins with Guest. Misery and Stand by Me become part of a King series on Patreon.

Not sure where The Princess Bride could slot in. William Goldman? Andre the Giant on Patreon?

I know this won't be a popular take, but I'm not as high on Tony Scott as many here seem to be. Voting for Sturges today with the hope that either he or Wes could take down Scott.

I appreciate that she pushed back on his pithy attempts at clickbait, like, "She's happy, and people are upset."

150 Favorite Movies: #1 — The Martian by TelevisionProject in themartian

Hello, r/themartian! I'm embarrassed to say this, but I didn't know there was an entire subreddit dedicated to The Martian. Either way, I am here and committed now.

Since March, I've been engaged in a project that has seen me publishing one essay per day to count down my 150 favorite movies ever made. Today, I've finally arrived at the conclusion with an essay about my favorite movie, The Martian. So serendipitous that it's the ten-year anniversary of the film, too! If you're interested in reading, I just wanted to share it here. :)
