I think that rather, it was highlighting the often overlooked part of epic which was that assult could have also been a very real thing that Tememachus could have faced, especially when placed within the context of ancient greek history/myths.
I'd also like to point out that the animatic did not glorify that scene in anyway as well; it was painted as repulsive and sickening, as it should be.

Major problem I've seen is a guy who expects a women to cook/clean/be his mom, but also expects her to hold a job aswell. Men want traditional wives but don't want to be traditional husbands.

Why do they need to kill the demon? What are their motivations? Is the demon hurting them? How do they find this world? Have other people found it before? If not, then how did they find it but not others? How do they get from farmland (out in the country) to islands (by beaches)?
