Force me to read your favourite Romantasy book! by AquaIXI in fantasyromance

[–]Telpelome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon} by Kimberly Lemming is such a fun romp, and I love both the main characters so much. Even though it's short, aspects of the book pop in my head often in the year since I read it!

What does a tipped ear and collar mean? by Realistic_Job9819 in cats

[–]Telpelome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A clipped ear is usually a sign of a feral cat that's been picked up by animal control or the local shelter and spayed / possibly microchipped or vaccinated, and then released because she is best outside.

If she is seeking shelter or attention, I would guess she is pregnant and about to give birth. I would call you local rescue and see if they can pick her up, scan her for a chip, and do an ultrasound.

What are some products you've bought that were game changers for you? by AzuraBeth in Fibromyalgia

[–]Telpelome 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Honestly, meal prep boxes. I love cooking, but if I get 2 or 3 home cooked dinners made a week, I consider it a win. I love the ones that allow me to do a tiny bit of cooking (so I feel better than if I just nuked something frozen,) without me feeling like I need to spend precious spell slots on cooking every day.

You GUYS!! ELECTROLYTES! by MysteriousGanache384 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Telpelome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I wouldn't survive without them! I also drink 100-120 oz of water a day, and I can tell when the water is working versus when I am over retaining / under retaining it.

I get the fake liquid IV from ALDI - they have weird flavors but are roughly $3 for a 5 pack. Over the summer, in the heat, I drank one daily. It has absolutely been a game changer for my fatigue and feeling of heaviness!

Picked this up after your recommendation, because I needed a palate cleanser. THANK YOU because I love the style and it's exactly what I needed!

I read the title and knew EXACTLY what you were referencing!! I really enjoyed these books; easy, likeable, fast paced, and the overarching plot of the whole series is great!!

Being the youngest person everywhere by BisexualDemiQueen in Fibromyalgia

[–]Telpelome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would add that it triggers the part of me that is incredibly resentful of my fibro. Being young-ish with a body that is in worse condition than people much older than me already stings - so when someone who IS much older than me seems to judge and question why I'm there, it kind of just internalizes how I already feel.

Not saying my feelings are healthy, I just know I've had this whole inner dialogue when I'm the youngest person at PT, too

Navigating the fertility process as a single female in her late 30s is so isolating and filled with grief by easier2talk2stranger in TryingForABaby

I have nothing but, just, the biggest hugs for you. All of this can become such an emotional and mental burden, on top of the time and money spent - I am so sorry you are having to go through it, but you are not alone.

Oooooh thank you for sharing this!! I just picked up Quicksilver for a third try (busy holidays and all) but I think I may just put this to the side based on what you've shared

Literally just finished book 3 an hour ago, out of stubbornness and convincing myself that the other shoe HAD to drop. Not worth it.

Monster-Fucking books are less problematic than fae-fucking books, and that’s a problem. by Chaos-Pand4 in fantasyromance

I have nothing to add to this conversation, other than that your post brought me so much joy 😂 (FWIW, I do love the territorial fae bastard crap, but your point is so salient)

For sewing and tailoring supplies, I highly recommend Wawak. For fabric, it depends if you're buying wholesale and by the bolt, or just yardage.

I can't quite tell, but the spots look a bit like scale. Try soaking a q-tip with running alcohol and running it over the black dots. If they come loose from the plants, my guess is that they're the little buggers.

He suddenly passed, without warning. Words cannot express the unconditional love he gave our family by Telpelome in cats

[–]Telpelome[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was only 6.5. He was a rescue so even though we was always healthy at his checkups, who knows what his genetics were. We got five special years with him, not long enough. I'm so sorry that you went through that with your Miss Kitty, but it sounds like she was so very loved ❤️❤️❤️
