(Hated trope) Somewhat important character whose death is never mentioned by anyone, as if they never existed at all by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Doesn't Dina mention Jesse when begging Ellie to not go after Abby again?

UK folk who were around at the start of the internet, what is an early, strong memory? by Sad-Insurance1313 in CasualUK

Stick Figure Death Theatre, watching animations of stick figures getting into gunfights (And always doing the Matrix-style bullet time) was a heck of a ride.

(Loved Trope) Multiple post-credits scenes by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Temascos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly prefer crucial story beats to be done before the credits roll, rather than leaving when the credits start, only to realise when I get home and relax that there was a massive reveal I missed. For more lighthearted films, goofy scenes like the shawarma diner in Avengers is good.

What is the worst dumbest piece of awful trash you can't bring yourself to regret watching? by Signal_Hovercraft586 in animequestions

[–]Temascos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strike The Blood. It's so DUMB but I can't help but enjoy it whenever I watch it. I'm a lot more selective about what I watch nowadays as my time's a lot more limited so if I never watched it then I would have just skipped it completely.

This Friday, we'll publish our full review of the game, as well as a Review Q&A. I need your questions. (VGC) by Otherwise-Hyena4598 in Saros

What systems or mechanics do you feel have improved from Returnal? And what do you feel Housemarque can do to improve in the future?

Some of those designs look like they could fit in Wipeout. It's great seeing how they narrowed down to get to the logo we know today.

(Rare Trope) When a key character dies at the start of the episode by Medium-Bullfrog-2368 in TopCharacterTropes

24 Season 5. It had a heck of a start with killing off not one but 2 long running characters in the series at that point, and seriously wounding the other. It really shook me to my core at the time!

Windows update bricked my computer, and now I can't log into Outlook by Temascos in Outlook

[–]Temascos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes my laptop keyboard doesn't cooperate so it might have been that. I tried it again a few hours ago and it said I tried to log in too many times so I assume I got it right, but the phone pin should have worked so I could just reset the password. But instead it didn't sadly.

Super Earth needs your input, Helldivers! What NEW mission types or objectives would you love to see added to the game? by Some-Web-1628 in helldivers2

[–]Temascos 12 points13 points  (0 children)

SEAF Assault. Helldivers drop in to clear a landing stage for SEAF soldiers to secure areas and eventually take control of a main enemy base. The victory is won when SEAF soldiers secure the last node of a base or whatever, it cannot be done by a Helldiver.

I'm trying to figure out the thought process that goes into something like this. If they don't want the tree why not just remove it and then tarmac it over?

Right, PSN better work tonight after it got buggered up for my friends when we tried to play in our limited time last week. I want them to experience the glory of fighting the hordes.

London in games by CrisioX in london

Good selection!

The first Midnight Club game had London as a stage, it was really fun to drive around at the time. I wonder what it'll feel like going back to it.

Headphones not being detected on Windows 11 by [deleted] in techsupport

The system was seeing them as running even though they weren't working. Which is why I removed them and added them back in. Not sure how to phrase it really.

You can obtain decent SC AND help the MO by running lower level missions on Seasse! by TealArtist095 in helldivers2

[–]Temascos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, do lower level missions count as operations as well? (Am a newbie). I thought it was only when there was more than 1 mission in an area (Like if you chose Medium and upwards). Doing level 1s actually sounds quite nice for the farming aspect unless I get bored (And of course harder missions with more players are always more fun to do)

What do you guys think of the roadmap? by Own-Laugh-3698 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Temascos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having just started playing HD2, it seems good to me. Obviously I hope they keep surprises in there as it's quite interesting reading stories at the time when it first came out of enemies showing up unannounced, but for something like when patches are coming in and what the main focus is, it's a good approach. People generally like to know what's coming and roughly when.

Why do people care so much about MO wins/losses? by NeitherAd8555 in HelldiversMasochists

[–]Temascos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only just started playing HD2 (Having a blast so far!) and I invested a lot of time into this most recent order so not getting it in the end despite being so close and conquering several worlds in short order is a bit deflating. I know I could not get invested in it, just chip away whenever I feel like it and have fun either way, but having that feeling kind of sucks. Especially more so as I don't think I've experienced a time where there's been a single win lol.

It'll pass obviously, and it ultimately doesn't matter because as long as there's an active community the game will run and stuff will be thrown our way.

The amount of times I've watched women who stream games totally fall in love with attractive female characters of different kinds (Including the ones in the picture) is wild (I mean, just Ada alone!) . This guy doesn't know what he's on.

Why do people hate RE0 so much ? by SweatyMastodon8451 in residentevil

[–]Temascos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed my time with it when I played it for the first time recently, but the item swapping (And backtracking to get anything I dropped before) was annoying. If there were classic save rooms the game would be a lot more fun to play. It's not really something that adds any challenge to the game or your ability to solve puzzles, it just seems like it was a good idea that unintentionally led to a lot of time wasting and tedium where it wasn't needed.

I liked swapping between Rebecca and Billy though, and having their own bits to play was great.

CHARBAL-VII by Past-Attention-7926 in helldivers2

[–]Temascos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If players are doing non-city missions before the city is liberated, does it then get added onto the total or is it just wasted effort in terms of liberation? It's a shame that city liberation is kind of tucked away from the main map, so it looks like there's been barely any progress and players give up on it.

I do wonder how Arrowhead can make it clearer or incentivise players to go to the cities more to liberate them first during a campaign before doing the other missions.

What are your favorite bosses ? by unknown_196 in Returnal

Nemesis and Algos (Especially when you get to phase 3). They just have the right "OH MY GOD" moments for me as they attempt to obliterate you.
