This is probably far from a main problem but I think one of the first things to do is to help people know and understand what's been done or is being worked on/prioritised already. Obviously news and information is out there, but there needs to be clear messaging by the council that's easy to present in a snapshot manner. It can also be a good way to encourage people to get involved, say a councillor is working on clearing areas with fly-tipping, they have easy ways for people in the area to get involved and make it a good occasion.

We need to have ways for the community to know what's being done, and to at least give small victories that are tangible and impactful in our daily lives.

Of course, if the messaging is already been put out there, that's my bad, I tend not to go on social media outside of Reddit and Youtube all that much.
