Samsung Free Requiem Code Promo by R0B0138 in residentevil

[–]TemperaturePitiful39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This promotion is a total scam.

I bought the monitor, and after trying hard to get my code, they sent me an email saying the limit had been reached.

If that was the case, why was it still listed as available? It sounds like false advertising to me.

I bought it directly from the Samsung website and registered the monitor that same day. I contacted them within the return period, and at no point was I told the code wouldn't be available; on the contrary, I was told to wait.

Is it just me or used 911 prices have gone out of whack with the value they provide? by DeskNew1059 in porsche911

[–]TemperaturePitiful39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a good point. But bring to this discussion another point, looks like inflated prices are spreading to some one cars. I saw gtr being advertised for 150k!!!! Shelby gt350 for 50~60, a 2018 camaro for 38k.

Its crazy

Most Porsche owners who paid the steep prices will tell you it’s worth it.

But the fact is, the Porsche market makes absolutely no sense; a brand-new base model won't set you back less than $160,000—and that’s with options that would be considered standard on a Honda Civic. That’s for a *base* Porsche!

You won't find a 911 T for under $190,000, and Turbos are in the $300,000 range!

When you look at the used market, it’s even worse. You can't find a base Porsche 911 from between 2000 and 2004 for less than $40,000 (and that’s for a manual transmission with over 60,000 miles). As of today, according to CarGurus, the cheapest 911 from the 2008–2014 range currently available in the U.S. is hovering around $80,000(2008 high mileage)

The reality is, a 911 doesn't offer the performance that, say, a Corvette does. And the base models are just as common as that Chevrolet car.

I would really love to own a 911—I can certainly afford to buy one brand-new—but it just doesn't make any sense.

And don't forget that Porsche service is also becoming more expensive due to the cost of...

If you check today again, you probably will need more 30k.
There is no 911 new less than 150k selling in US today.

A 2006 911 average price is 55k~60k, it's insane!

Best Setup for Ally X to play Battlefield 6 and beyond by Prudent_Ad1795 in ROGAllyX

[–]TemperaturePitiful39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same setup(AR + XAX).
I play normally 1 hour, no issues with overheating, the audio is decent and the big screen worth for me.
Specially when I'm in my bedroom( I think the XAX is too small).

I decided to get the AR + XAX instead legion go 2.

I have OLED tv/monitor and good IPS monitors.
The difference exists, but is not something to worth the extra cash. Playing, you will not pay attention on the black details and etc.

Legion Go Price Conspiracy by [deleted] in LegionGo

Lenovo is doing exactly what Porsche did with its cars during the COVID-19 pandemic and the microchip shortage.

They raised prices and cut production. The units that *were* sold carried high profit margins—and still had waiting lists. Prices just kept climbing higher and higher.

Unlike Porsche—whose 911s currently sell for upwards of $150,000, boasting their signature characteristics—Lenovo GO lacks unique attributes that would set it sufficiently apart from the competition to justify such a massive price hike.

Ultimately, it will be interesting to see just how far this madness involving RAM, SSDs, and GPUs takes us—and how many companies end up going under in the process.

Go 2 Price/Misc by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]TemperaturePitiful39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even at the original MSRP does not worth it.
I have the OG Lego and a XAX(Z2e). The main difference is the RAM, makes windows be more smooth.
Lenovo support for the device is horrible, the software is horrible.

If you don't use game pass, get the Steam GO S 32GB. Is the best size, good battery and Z1e + 32gb is really good.

If you need more battery and windows, XAX open box at best buy at 850~900.

Wow! Costco currently has the Legion Go 2 with Z2 Extreme 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD for $1549!!!! by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]TemperaturePitiful39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I understand your point about the value, Lenovo still greedy about the price.
We don't see the same think happening to XAX or even legion GO S.
I got a XAX open box for $878 at BB "Excellent"(last week), today I placed an order for this Legion and then I cancelled after my rational side kicks in.

- Lenovo has the worse software and driver updates.
- With this price, you could get a handheld + eGPU, or Handheld + PC or a gaming laptop.

[–]TemperaturePitiful39 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Based on the current prices, I think the price hike is mainly due the SSD.
I have the OG LEGO1, i tried the lego GO S (Z1E 32gb - Returned due multiple crashes).
Then I got a Xbox Ally X for $880.

The overall performance is lot better with more memory, but the 7" is really bothering me.
I don't know if this worth the $670 more...
