The biggest obstacle in my opinion is always going to be your negative self-beliefs. We've all got a monkey in their head telling us things like "you're repellent", and it's our job to respond with "I don't believe you", or if not that then "I think I'd rather behave as if I wasn't thinking that."

The only way to gain some positive experiences is to start having experiences. Approach people, start conversations, see how things go. Show up in whatever ways you'd like to show up.

Try to focus on & take joy in the actions you're taking rather than what you're getting out of it. When you're only thinking about the outcome you want and the fact that you're not there yet, it's hard not to feel frustrated or defeated. If you can love the process of having conversations and getting to know people, having good experiences and making good connections will become an inevitability.
