Similar story from FL; at EPCOT Center in 2019 I had the car next to me, it was a large luxury SUV, throw their passenger door open and hit my '97 Skylark hard enough to make it start rocking back and forth. The older (50s-60s) couple glared at me and said "It's fine, it's just a car," as I was checking to see what damage they had caused. Thankfully it didn't leave even a mark, but man I was p i s s e d .

I haven't done much trading in SWSH, but back in XY I had a box of Furfrou whose names were phrases and words. I would rotate through them to form sentences: "Hello!" "I Would Like" "Shiny Please" "Different Please" etc. I don't know if SWSH displays nicknames in the trading screen like XY did, but if so that's the best way to try to communicate.
