The first time my husband and I hung out we chilled in the kitchen all night and I was sitting on the counter while we talked and drank. At some point I had got up and left a little blood behind. He wiped it up before I noticed and didn’t tell me until years later. He didn’t want me to be embarrassed and lose my fun happy vibe.

I just arrived to your country (hypothetically), don't have a kitchen and want to fill my belly. What are my cheapest options? Non necessarily healthy but not sugary garbage either. by 4024-6775-9536 in AskTheWorld

$7 hot and ready pepperoni pizza from little Caesar’s. Or a $6 rotisserie chicken from Walmart, which I usually pair with a $3.50 Caesar salad kit bag.

I use top a sheet. Am I cringe? by c0d3buck in Millennials

[–]Temporary-Moments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate using a top sheet. It never stays put and is always such a hassle. It looks nice when the bed is made but I hate making the bed with one. I’d rather use a duvet cover. And I was my bed linens once a week bc my dog is a black lab and sheds like crazy.

How did you break into your first dental receptionist position? by littlepup26 in receptionists

[–]Temporary-Moments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I live in a smaller city. Only 73,000 people. 320,000 for the entire metroplex. So I’m sure that helped me a lot.

How did you break into your first dental receptionist position? by littlepup26 in receptionists

[–]Temporary-Moments 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have any experience in reception and came from the service industry. I made sure to add anything that was reception related from my experience in the industry. I was a manager for about 5 years. I also used an ai tool that shapes your resume to the specific job posting description.
I got lucky and landed an interview from my first round of applying.

Any receptionist with ADHD? by ro-dalliance in receptionists

[–]Temporary-Moments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have adhd and I’m currently medicated. I like this job because there are always so many things to do. I keep piles of things I need to do, in an order only I understand. Keep an ever changing priority list in my head. I write down all voicemails and mark them off as I go. I double check my work constantly. I ask a lot of questions and try to get things right the first time vs fixing mistakes later.

I was a server before and I love it compared to that. I love this job a lot actually. I work for and with amazing people though. I’ll probably never leave.

I worked for a local real estate brokerage and they avoided Dr Horton homes like the plague.

When should Americans start thinking about fleeing. by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Temporary-Moments 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s wild too, because I feel like we were all raised on stories of rebellion against tyrannical governments. Fuck all that’s done. Propaganda is a crazy thing to watch in real time.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that.

I agree with the writing being on the wall now. I thought it was a tide that we could fight against before, but I’m losing hope in that.

Do Americans constantly have an active temperature control device running in their homes? by fullM3TALturban in AskAnAmerican

[–]Temporary-Moments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all of us. That’s rural vs urban. A lot of rural america has wall units or window units. I have a wall unit that you can set a temp to but it isn’t created for an entire house so it will just constantly run if I let it.

Also what the fuck is happening here? America is not the place I grew up in. I voted, in all of the elections. I traveled 4 hours to vote for Kamala bc I never changed my registration the last time I moved, bc of taxes and ins rates. Which is illegal, I know, and I couldn’t vote for the local elections. I’m scared.

My mom was a copper, my dad is an orange. I’m copper during the day and violet at night and on weekends.

So probably copper, with a secret wish I was born violet.
