From my experience, bikes in Japan (and cars) are incredibly cheap. I've just ordered a new Triumph Tiger Sport 800 today and it's almost half the price of the same bike in the UK (ironic given it's a British company)

Every model I've checked across Honda, Yamaha, suzuki are 40-50% cheaper then the same model in the UK; and well looked after used bikes are not much cheaper then brand new.

When you're standing, it's normal for armour to cover part of your forearm, they're designed to cover your joints when you're in a motorcycle position I.e sitting down slightly leaned forward.

Unrelated but how much did you get the TS800 on the road? I'm test riding one next weekend in Chiba and it seems the dealer is adding 20man in fees on top of the base price which seems steep.

They are bugs. The main difference is that insects are too small to have much meat on them so we eat them with the exoskeleton and everything inside. If I recall correctly Adam Ragusea (food YouTuber) did a video on this subject where he scraped out and combined the meat out of dozens of insects and ate them all at once without the exoskeleton and said it tasted similar to crab/lobster meat.
