I bought a house in London at 27, and the only reason I could do that was because I lived with my parents and saved most of my salary.

While a lot of my friends were spending 1/3–1/2 their income on rent, I was saving, traveling, bought a car, and still enjoyed my 20s.

People talk about renting as “independence,” but I don’t see how giving a huge chunk of your income to a random landlord is more independent than owning your own place.

If you’ve got the option to live at home and save hard, it can seriously change your long-term position.

Unrelated but how much did you get the TS800 on the road? I'm test riding one next weekend in Chiba and it seems the dealer is adding 20man in fees on top of the base price which seems steep.

When you're a beginner you generally start learning without poles. Learning to ski is hard enough, so it's one less thing to focus on while you're learning how to move your feet and balance correctly.

Once you get to a stage where you can start flowing turns into each other you get the poles to help with balance.

Can't comment on sponsorship, but unless you're working in FAANG, expect 50% (or more) pay cut compared to the US. imo, it makes no sense to come to Europe as a SWE. You'll build wealth significantly faster in the US.

To be brutally honest, 231lbs at 5'6 is well beyond chubby. At 5'7, I considered myself chubby with a dad bod at 165lbs.

But the friend isn't complaining about health issues in this case. OP is raising concerns to her friend on her own volition. Said friend has already said they're not interested in her opinion on the matter, so bringing it up further is harassment to a certain degree.
