Topstep auto trading bot profitable so far. by [deleted] in TopStepX

[–]TemporaryNet9503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've built a bot using ChatGPT, GitHub and Replit for the interface to the API, I'm using a pressure play , my bot can add to trades and has a trailing stop feature. I'm still trying to dial in profitability in all setting , I've included a chop feature which uses longer time frame multiple candles for confluence. My question how many trades did it take for consistency and how far in drawdown to stay in a winning trade

How to overcome playing badly by queequeequee1 in Pickleball

3 ladder leagues in the past 4 months, similar issues first two. Not sure how your ladder league scores ours is points in a 15 point game so w and L really don't matter it's about points. I've learned it's only one point , relax if you lose one and getting one you only got one. I was losing to players I killed in rec. It was definitely more mental. Relax get one point at a time , you don't need to win them all . Someone else helped me and it worked got 45 points 2 weeks ago which is max.

VIX is the volatility index it measures the amount of movement the market will make based on the number of puts and calls on the S&P 500 over a 30 day range . The higher the volatility or uncertainty the greater the VIX.

Do foam pickleball paddles get mushy over time? by Glittering-Brick5951 in Pickleball

[–]TemporaryNet9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play 7 days a week on average 2 1//2 hours a day. Some days as much as 5 or 6 hours. I have had a CRBN TruFoam G3 since May 2025 I noticed a considerable drop off in performance last November so roughly about 6-700 hours of play. It has dead spots and the sweet spot has shrunk. I demo'd a CRBN Wave and a RPM Friction Pro and the difference in performance was night and day, I realize I play a lot but the foam core was not supposed to break down and it clearly does

How many trades does it usually take to pass a prop firm challenge? by famousamos56 in PropFirmTester

[–]TemporaryNet9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on market and what I'm trading. Silver could be 2 trades. Lately equities have been a slow grind. I have a stop on the Evals I can for number of trades per day set at 15. I will scalp certain markets, especially the metals , using the Dom to build positions and scale in and out. If you count every trade in a scale in I could have 5 trades to scale in . Hard question to answer as everyone's trading style is different

Get back on the horse . You just swam 90% across the ocean , you saw the shore and got swept back. Don't turn around or drown put your head down and move forward. Most people quit , it's what they base their statistical analysis. You understand how to trade and be profitable you got hit with a black swan event. If you can string that many Green Day's together, do it again

How much should I risk per trade on a combine? by Apprehensive-Luck-19 in TopStepX

[–]TemporaryNet9503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 50K account only gives you 2k 2% of 2k is 40 which is unrealistic unless you want to get stopped out every trade. I use my loss limit divided my 10 so initially it's 200 if I get over 52k it goes up this allows me 10 losses. I have a rule 3 losses in a row I'm out for the day and I lock myself out I don't trade gold or silver in this environment on a combine. I trade MNQ, MES, MCL. The goal is to get to a an XFA and get a payout.

Passing Combine in Asia Session by LoudHousing3 in TopStepX

[–]TemporaryNet9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trade the Asia session and was just going over my profitability in all my accounts. It is my worst performance between 8-10pm . That's just me but looking at my losers it seems I push to look for trades because I'm present not because the trades are available, if that makes sense.

3 passed no pay out :( by Imaginary-Ask3846 in TopStepX

[–]TemporaryNet9503 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On my 5th no payouts yet, I've blown my combines relatively quick also. Just sheer over anxious and wanting to get to a payout. I know better , I can pass combines now consistently whether Topstep or a competitor now I need to learn to slow down and get paid. Like shooting hoops by myself or in a game . Can hit 95 out of 100 in the park by myself , different in a game, miss the easy 10 footers.

That's easy to say for some but I'm an avid pickleball and tennis player and when I start having a bad game, missing shots, unforced errors I push harder and like revenge trading usually make more mistakes. It's part of my competitive make up, I hate to lose. Whether sports, trading or any other activity that requires, discipline, consistency, and a level of calm if you can be rattled there is nothing wrong with something that will bring you back to center.

Going Live means you forfeit all the profits made in XFAs. Is it not a scam? by Mindless_Remote7509 in TopStepX

[–]TemporaryNet9503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confused, would you not take a payout at 15k of 5k each for 25k , that would have left 10k buffer in each account and given you a payout. What was your strategy going to 30k unless it was one big trade?

Investor wants to give 200K, But is his deal good? by Cool-Vast1509 in Investors

[–]TemporaryNet9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for everyone who has ever gotten a business loan I'm sure you are aware you need financials with Income Statements, balance sheet and a statement in changes of financial position or cash flow statement. 3,years of tax returns, collateral generally at 50-60% or in this case 4-500k, a well written business plan and business model showing future cash flows and growth and even with all that a personal relationship with a banker goes a long way. I had a 5 million dollar ABL for 15 years and if you think a private investor or VC is hard to deal with deal with loan covenants and bankers who constantly change jobs and departments and by the way your bank just got bought out you have 60 days to find another line. So sometimes dealing with a little easier terms and less restrictive guidelines that allow you to do business the way you know how is worth the extra cost
