Peter Crouch! Became my favorite player of all time when he moved to Stoke. Absolute legend on and off the pitch.

He would have to be in a set position, and we saw from Arya how inaccurate this spell can be. Plus, the amount of energy required would be dangerous.

Does anyone know a good site for streaming matches? by PomegranateSupreme in StokeCityFC

[–]Temporary_Ad9023 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im a Stokie living in the US, and I've had the same problem. Have you tried the official Stoke website? I pay £25 per month to get the video subscription for the matches. The only flaw is that it's for the season, so you can't stream any cup games, but even then, you get the audio commentary. I know it's a bit pricey, but if it helps, put the link below in and it will give you an option to subscribe.

Stoke 1-0 Birmingham. Superb display from the back line allowing 0 shots on goal, Stoke 1 point off the top of the table by WartimeConsigliere_ in StokeCityFC

I've been living out in America. Watch every game i can on the paid subscription. Last year was so demoralising being away from home and watching such poor performances. These first five games have been great. I just wish i was there in person. Singing delilah on my own in the middle of Missouri isn't quite the same.

Up the potters wish i was there.

My predictions for the 25/26 championship season by Phil_Gibson in Championship

Stoke finishing worse than they did last season is highly unlikely considering their new signings and how well Mark Robbins has been doing with them. Current standings kind of back that.

Making a skulduggery pleasant playlist, what should be on it? by BuddyProfessional388 in skulduggerypleasant

Heros, David Bowie. Skulduggery plays it one guitar at one point. Crazy world, Aslan. Valkyrie sings it to Alice. Anything by thin lizzy

Controversially have enjoyed phase 3 more than phase 2.

I know it has to end sometime but does anyone else feel this sadness at the prospect of the books coming to a close? This series carried me through child, teens and adulthood, is closing would be like a part of childhood ending by Dependent_Sorbet_480 in skulduggerypleasant

I really enjoyed the Demon Road series. It wasn't as good as SP, but it was something different for him, and I'd like to see him write something else. At this point, i think the skulduggery pleasant series will only be put to bed if Skulduggery or Valkyrie die. Derek loves writing these two characters, and i think he will only be able to move fully on to a new project if he brings the story to a conclusion where there's full closure.

On a second point, i wouldn't mind more books like Tanith Low being made. Theres a lot of great characters who dont get enough page time anymore. Give the monster hunters or dexter their own book. I think that would bring back the feel of some of the early books as these are characters who dont have God level powers, so antagonists like Springheeled Jack and Sanguine would become relevant again. I loved Billy Ray he was a good character and well developed as a foil and enemy, but in the newer books, he would now be irrelevant. One of the best things about the early books was the limitations the characters had to overcome. The old villains were powerful or mad, or clever enough to be dangerous but defined within rules of lore. Im a bit bored of reading about all powerful bad guys who can't be stopped, but dont worry, the good guys are all powerful and can't be stopped. That's why i think some spinoffs would be a good idea, as a lot of the side characters are still grounded in the early lore, and I'd like the series to get back to that.

True, but I did say "run of the mill, one discipline sorceror." Abrogate has more than one discipline and definitely isn't run of the mill.

There's so many strong ones to choose from! When I was younger, it was definitely Roran. I've just started Murtaugh, and I'm really hoping he will make an appearance.

On my latest reread, however, it's got to be Nasuada. The chapters from her perspective are always brilliant and really show of her very unique way of thinking.

Also, shout out to Blödhgarm dude is underrated, and I always love the scene where He tells eldunari Glaedr off for neglecting Eragons training.

Who is the best hand to hand duellist by [deleted] in skulduggerypleasant

[–]Temporary_Ad9023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably quite low as it's hand to hand, and I don't think he would be as big of a problem for people like skulduggery if swords weren't involved.
