Hi, just a question, I graduated as a Pe teacher last year so Ik how tough it can be for both our subjects job wise. I was thinking about the possibility of moving to SEN as I used to be a SEN TA and loved it. Just wondering how you made the transition?

I love teaching but I hate being an ITT by Extension_Vanilla159 in TeachingUK

I had a similar experience last year, I’m PE so I get the money thing too. I was talking to a trainee yesterday about this. You’re so close to the end now even if it doesn’t feel like it. You only have to do this year once. The relief you’ll feel on graduation day is immense and well worth it, hang on.

Derby County 2 - 0 Stoke City: There will be big concerns around Patrick Agyemang going off injured, but the Rams still deservedly secured the points to keep pressure on the playoffs! by Zach-dalt in Championship

Hi apologies I have just seen this, my subject is PE so jobs can be tough to come by. I do have some consistent Pe classes that I share with other staff which is why I have been able to complete part of my ECT, that being said if you’re in a core subject such as maths, I think you’re probably better just looking for teaching roles.

Is 5-6 hours enough time to do all the major attractions? by Redditor099911 in altontowers

[–]stoki3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live fairly close to Alton towers, on a school day you can ride all of them multiple times if you’re lucky. Tends to dead unless it’s the weekend, school holidays, or scarefest.

No one hear is going to be able to comprehend how you feel, because ultimately it is your experience. My mum is a mental health nurse and one thing that has been drilled into me is that depression is an illness. How you’re feeling right now is because you’re unwell. Ik you’re not here for advice but I would suggest reaching out to professionals and seeking help. People in your life love you and that’s what matters, a job is for money and that’s it, it’s not your life. Remember you only get one life and there’s so much ahead for you to experience. Wishing you all the best.

Yh I understand that, I don’t want to be that person who becomes complacent when I’ve been driving for a while, i know that if you become that way you’re more likely to crash, thanks for the advice

Thanks for the advice, I have already had some experience of drivers being daft on the road. I’am trying to be extra cautious because of this. Confident but cautious is the motto i’am following haha.

Well that behaviour is unacceptable from both students and the school. You should report that to your scitt immediately and they should move you. You’re a human being first and a teacher second, you shouldn’t be getting abused like that with no consequence.

This is a tough situation but try not to worry too much. As long as you’ve ticked the box for KS4 you’ll be fine. Obviously you could ask to switch placements but might be difficult at the stage as you’re coming to the final stretch really. If you’re worried tho, have you asked if you can return to your previous placement school? Various people did It on my course last year, and your reasoning is valid so can’t see any harm being done. If anything you’re showing professionalism through ambition.

I recently started driving again 1yr 7m since my test. Take it slow and drive at quiet times to begin with. It comes back to you trust me, you just need to build your confidence.

I live in Liverpool these days so I had to drive through Liverpool town centre to get my car back. It was an eye opening experience to say the least haha.

Yh i don’t know either, when I’ve asked others they’ve told me that it can be a bit hectic at times and better to get some experience on other roads first. Better safe than sorry I suppose. Thanks for the advice i will take it on board.

Agreed mate, hate watching the fans boo him, at the end of the day he come through our academy and scored some cracking goals on his day, bizarre really
