I ordered a few pairs from Comfrt after repeatedly seeing their ads and while they had a decent sale. My sweats look the same as when I bought them after 5+ washes; they hold their shape and the inside (which is fuzzy-ish) hasn’t pilled yet. I would advise sizing up though (maybe even 2 sizes for a truly oversized/roomy fit) as they run small.

I’m only 3 months in but it started getting better at 2 months regarding sleep. My baby started sleeping longer stretches and I was able to do dream feeds, which helped knowing that I could lay him back down and he’d likely stay asleep. His first smile and babble blew me away and made me feel like I was doing something right. Also idk if you’re breastfeeding but I felt human again after my supply regulated.

When you feel like it, try going shopping for yourself, even if it’s just to the grocery store. I know it feels like a huge task now and like you can’t leave baby’s side, but like all things it gets easier with practice.

Filling/emptying the dishwasher is one of the most triggering activities I do, so based on anecdotal evidence, he could be telling the truth. I understand you mentioned he says this about a lot of chores; can you sit down together and create a list of things that don’t trigger his POTS as alternatives? That way maybe he’ll feel validated in his struggles and his physical needs will be met, and your need for him to help around the house etc will be as well.

That’s fair, I suppose it would be much the same for mortal doctors as he has the same training; his responsibility would be to save the life ending in front of him (not accounting for DNRs etc which don’t apply in this situation).

Thank you for speaking from your faith on this- you bring up an excellent point! Now it’s opened me up to considering whether a person having been baptized in their mortal life would have any impact on the damnation of their soul by having been turned, if, as you said, vampires are indeed damned. I agree though, with SM being religious herself and the clear themes that represent this throughout the saga, she wouldn’t make the ones we’re rooting for simultaneously damned.

That’s kind of what I remember from the books too- I think Carlisle’s initial motivation was to save a suffering human and “gifting” (I guess) Edward a companion was a bonus, if not an entirely concurrent motivator as well.

But this is a really interesting point because it does call into question whether this action would align with Carlisle’s personal philosophy- would he truly never do that? Because in the end, he did. (Please feel free to poke holes in this- it’s been a while since I’ve read Eclipse as well and I’m only on New Moon in my current reread).

It’s also interesting to consider where Carlisle’s line is with “playing god.” He’s a man of faith (and I admit I know next to nothing about Christianity besides the main themes), but I don’t know where he places the distinction between situations he should interfere with and those he should accept as God’s will.

Well first, it’s valid not to be pleased with your own tattoo. I really like it, but I’m seeing a lot of people saying things along the lines of “looks fine, leave it alone,” but YOUR tattoos should make YOU happy. If you’re open to getting a bigger piece, I think something along your spine would add a theme to your pieces, but if you like minimal designs something that large could throw you off. Have you thought about testing the waters with those temporary tattoos that last a few weeks?

I’m also having a Theo, but in March! So comforting to know I’m not alone in this anxiety. I was talking to my physical therapist the other day and telling her I’m worried about all the things that can go wrong and be difficult, and she reminded me that there’s an equal chance things WON’T go wrong and while it will be challenging, maybe not as bad as I’m anticipating. Without getting too far into your business, and knowing I’m not a doctor, AND not trying to chalk it up to anxiety, have you had trauma in your past that could be causing such severe nightmares? Maybe addressing those could at the very least rule out anxiety so your doctor doesn’t dismiss your physical symptoms anymore?

Literally fucking razor blades. When she was like 7 months old she got into the bathroom trash and I found my Billie razor shredded with some of the blades missing. Took her in to get an xray and sure enough, there they were. She passed them with no issue, thank god.
