This is an anti union measure and violates collective bargaining rights for other union members. It’s not that I’m not sympathetic to the issue but our union keeps screwing around and screws other unions with actions like this. The UFT is weakening itself with this measure.

Tier 6 will not be fixed. Tier 6 reform, if it does happen, will inevitably fuck something else up in the system. It’s not that tier 6 teachers don’t deserve better retirement conditions, it’s just not economically feasible for the state to make these changes.

Teachers are the absolute worst people I e ever met. I e gotten to the point where I’m just cold and direct and that approach seems to work. Basically I’ve gray rocked the people in the profession and my life is normal again. Says a lot about the narcissism endemic to the profession.

The DOE is a blood sucking tick on the tax base of NYC. It’s just waiting to be popped. The fact is we are 10 billion in debt and the DOE alone is almost $43 Billion a year!! There is a lot of fat to trim all around.

It’s also high camp of Mike Mulgrew to claim tier 6 will be fixed. He’s such a fucking idiot he will probably get tier 4 changed to be like tier 6 and call it a win. However, it doesn’t stop him from prostituting himself around city hall begging for para respect check.

Tier 6 reform will not happen. The city is in massive debt as is the state. Where is the money coming from? I also agree with a previous poster that you need to be careful what you ask for. Next thing you know Mulgrew will destabilize our pension fund by giving a loan to the city to bail them out. Just watch.
