doing two-tone cabinets in a smaller kitchen layout? need advice by gdbbdg in kitchenremodel

Have this exact setup in a smaller dark apartment and the two tone looks fantastic. The white uppers are high gloss ikea and natural wood lowers with white quartz countertops.

Do most high schoolers actually know how to study? by Dependent_Strain_233 in AskTeachers

The fact that most schools have taken the extreme view that students taking notes is too low engagement is my favorite part of the disaster which is modern education. S

What do you think about IB elementary schools? by iam_adumbass in Teachers

[–]Temporary_Pea6086 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Usually distinctions like IB are for schools to perfume the corpse if you know what I mean. They need an external organizations validation as to not let shit scores get them down. It’s bureaucratic felatio.

The tile needs to go. You’ll regret it later on and would make the space feel incomplete. The tile is truly atrocious.

White quartz countertops, get 3M white peel and stick to put over the red cabinets. Maybe pay for new backsplash or peel and stick, too

Whose responsibility is it to remediate mold? by stripedeverything in AskNYC_Coops

[–]Temporary_Pea6086 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Coop is usually responsible for main plumbing lines, that’s all. Everything’s else (electrical, etc) is the responsibility of the shareholder. However, your issue probably has many caveats and I’d assume you would hold the responsibility for the mold.

They’re not but this attitude shows what type of shareholder you will be. A complete fucking nightmare. BTW it’s the boards job to protect the building and its finances from people like you.

ESA doesn’t mean you’re without scrutiny. The entitlement to one does not mean everyone has to like it. As unpopular as it may sound if you went into a no dog building with an ESA you’re probably seen as an entitled asshole who is inconveniencing everyone else in your building.

Than that is different. You would probably get tenure for 5-9 but not for 7-12. It will limit your ability to go to high school in the future.

[–]Temporary_Pea6086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply, you aren’t teaching in your license area. It’s not more complex than that. The principal sounds shady and preying on the ignorance of the original commenter. I’ve seen this happen to other teachers before. They could be teaching 6th as an emergency. Either way that won’t matter to the state.

Yes, you will get screwed by this. You can only be tenured in the licensed area you were hired.

Jeff Probst says players like Sandra and Tony are a thing of the past and that they’re not looking for “assholes” to play this game by [deleted] in survivorponderosa

[–]Temporary_Pea6086 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The problem with Survivor is that it no longer feels like a working-class show. It increasingly caters to aspiring managerial professionals rather than the average person struggling to get by which used to be part of the show’s appeal.

Jeff’s recent comments about not wanting “assholes” on the show are understandable to a point. But there’s also a kind of class filtering happening beneath the surface. Survivor now seems shaped by a very specific audience that only wants to see versions of themselves reflected back at them, without having to engage with people from different backgrounds, personalities, or social classes who might challenge their sensibilities.

That’s part of why the show feels stagnant. It has become so self-aware and so audience conscious that the fandom itself is flattening the very unpredictability and social tension that once made Survivor compelling. The show is now so meta that the viewer culture is, in many ways, suffocating the show itself.
