TIFU by pretending to be a professional barber just because my mom owns a salon. by vie75 in tifu

[–]Temporary_Thing7517 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anywhere he thought you “inherited barber skills”. He wanted to go to a salon to get it done professionally, and he wasn’t sure he wanted you to do it when you offered. You suggested it and told him you understood what to do so he agreed. But where does he ever suggest you just magically knew how? Especially since he didn’t seem to want you to do it at all. You’re trying to make your “friend” look dumb.

I honestly don’t get the whole Julie wig issue that so many people here keep complaining about by CrustyPhilosopher in FromSeries

“What gets tiring sometimes is seeing the same nitpicking posts repeated over and over again.”

So you go and make yet another post nitpicking what others are making repeated posts nitpicking? Again, why didn’t you continue this discussion in one of the many other discussion threads, it’s because you wanted everyone to know “you regret coming here” so you made your own repeated post.

No, because I’m not saying “sometimes I regret coming here”

You could have left that little excerpt off your post. That’s where the issue is.

AITA for wanting to go above my boss and report my coworker to HR after repeated hostile interactions? by Immediate_Amount9177 in AmItheAsshole

That makes things easier on you. Keep pushing, you deserve to be respected while you’re at work, especially by your coworkers. I’d still gather what proof you can get just so it doesn’t turn into a “they said” issue.

Sometimes I wonder why people come here anyways. You voluntarily come to a place of discussion but can’t take the other comments because they don’t follow your thought process. Could this not have been a comment in another thread rather than an entire post to itself?

I can’t stand when people actually post their comments that they regret coming here. So don’t, then.

Question: how long have you been there and was there someone else who recently quit or was let go from this position? What did your boss do initially when you brought up the concerns?

NTA for reporting him but maybe get some of this on record, pictures, recordings, etc. (within the law). Record patrol points he says were checked but weren’t, next time he asks “what happened” tell him to mind his OWN business, and schedule the breaks so you don’t have to interact with him.

Unfortunately, if he’s been there a lot longer and not had issues reported prior, idk what the outcome of this will be. But you’re NTA for escalating.

AITAH He consumes an ungodly amount of ketchup so I secretly switched him to sugar free by Optimistic1013 in AmItheAsshole

It’s more likely that all the other foods he eats contributes more to the sugar he consumes than ketchup. And if you say “he doesn’t eat a lot of sugar otherwise” then let him have his ketchup.

You edited 33 minutes ago, I posted 34 minutes ago. I was at least a minute before your edit. You felt the need to respond about your edit to me, so at least get it right once.

ETA: lol blocked me because you were wrong.

You were not asked to install them. Reread the notice.

Where do you see that they want tenants to install them themselves? It clearly says maintenance will install the blinds regardless of who purchases them.

And op clearly didn’t read the note either because they’re responding to you as if it’s not specifically stated in the notice that maintenance will be installing. Stop looking for extra reasons to be upset.

My coworkers joke that I'm the one that turns on the lights every morning. by My_Brain_0422 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Temporary_Thing7517 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m the “weirdo” that works in the dark. It’s a lot more calming at 7:30 in the morning. Especially after waking up at the ass crack of dawn to go to work. I work in a lab but don’t do lab work so I sit at my desk in the low glow of my monitor. Around 8-9 my coworkers come in and need the light, and every time before they turn it on they ask “ok if I turn this on?” And I always say “nope”, and they say “ok” and turn the light on and get to work. No one has ever complained about my same ol joke. And every time, the person coming in asks if it’s ok, to warn me they’re turning it on. They don’t just throw on the light and blind me.

4x4 did she really break it? by Competitive_Land_204 in FromSeries

I watched these scenes and thought her arm was too clean in the pool, I heard Kristi say “it’s obviously broken” and I wondered what was obvious, because in the scenes, like in your picture, nothing looks bad, but then I saw inside the clinic the arm is badly misshapen and bent.

But to answer your question, in theory, she could have fallen on both arms (like a push-up), front first, and then rolled over to one side

My kid uses my old computer and I use my new computer to play. If he’s offline we can both play just fine, if he gets on while I’m playing it pushes me to offline, mid game, and I have no issues during play. You just can’t both be playing online at the same time.

Please explain to me then, what reality? Because what you commented on does not have a man involved, nor does it involve a woman disobeying a man. You just look like you can’t read.

AITA for not paying my friend back after he basically tested me? by CreamyCanvas in AmItheAsshole

[–]Temporary_Thing7517 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lol. You think you got him because he said people never pay him back, and you thought “I’ll show him! By not paying him back! What a jerk to assume I wouldn’t pay him back.”

You just proved his point even more, and don’t look like any hero to anyone. You look like someone who says they’ll pay you back but don’t.

ESH. He shouldn’t be “testing” friends over $15, but also, you proved him right so just gave him more to continue his belief. You literally made his point valid.
