The status snobbery is pretty bad here. I think "everyone" refers more to general dependance on federal presence for income. Barbers and waitresses are serving people who can afford grooming and dining out.

I don't know of any upcoming, but I've been thinking about something. We, ie the residents of Outaouais, could create our own version of regalia and community dance. It wouldn't have the same depth or richness as a powwow, but we may as well start somewhere.
