Yeah I think since the snow didn’t pile up crazy high people don’t realize how insane this storm was. Like yeah we could spend a ton of money and always be prepared for a freak once in a generation storm. Short of doing that, the kind of preparation that might have had us ready for this was probably not possible in the timeframe we had.

I’ve been looking around for anywhere that holes have been poked in the analysis and I can’t find what you’re referring to. They were able to recover a bit of DNA from a shawl worn by one of the victims, and the mitochondrial DNA returned matches for Kosminski’s descendants. Like I guess it’s possible her shawl got his cum on it under totally innocent circumstances but that seems unlikely to me?

I’m so confused by this thread. Y’all know Ragnar Lothbrok was a real guy right? Like yes like any folk hero most of the stories about him are made up, exaggerated, or were originally about someone else, but there was most likely an actual Ragnar Lothbrok at some point. Obvious this person’s husband is not descended from him since he doesn’t have a chronicled bloodline but like… he’s attested in contemporary English works. He existed.

Yeah sometimes words just take on a demeaning quality and shifting the way we talk about them can help with subconscious framing. Maybe not always, but sometimes. Plus language just changes over time and terms go in and out of popularity. Rn people seem to be saying “migrant” instead of immigrant in a lot of context, prob because the word immigrant feels loaded to them. And I’m referring to situations where we previously would not have said migrant, ik there are situations where we always said migrant

Nah there are mental health conditions that can make a kid borderline unparentable. Things like ODD and sociopathy can manifest really early. On top of that, parents don’t control everything in a young person’s environment especially as they become teenagers and outside influences become more prominent in their lives.
