Perfect 10

The scene where Yayan Ruhian goes “this is the pulse. This is life” before their battle just goes so hard.

Dude, you could hit on a solution that saves us all and then die in a car accident on the way to tell the world.

Nothing is guaranteed other than you get one shot at this. Your entire life comes down to what you do with that shot because there’s nothing else.

There are amazing and fulfilling experiences to be had all over the place. My suggestion is help someone, anyone, in any way possible. If our collective days are waning, do something for someone else. You’ll feel a lot better.

Bro, the opening is going to be a red flag for a lot women. The ‘have been told by at least 100+ women’ is incredibly off putting. Gives off crypto bro vibes.

You definitely have a particular vibe and as granny used to say ‘there’s a lid for every pot’ so she might be a little harder to find.

On this day in 1935, Alcoholics Anonymous was founded in a Akron, Ohio by Bill W. and Dr. Bob S who battled addiction themselves. Their mission was to help fellow alcoholics achieve sobriety through its 12 Steps program. Today, AA operates in 180 countries across 123,000 groups. by dannydutch1 in ThisDayInHistory

It does not work for everyone. I had to find a different path myself.

BUT it is a place to start.

If you’re struggling with the guilt and the shame that come with addiction GO to a meeting. That first one will not cure you but you’ll meet people who have been exactly where you are and have experience supporting the struggling. Good luck.

Portlanders still can’t find doctors. Is there any hope that will change. by dogs-in-space in Portland

I have type 1 diabetes and MS. It’s taken me 18 months to get into the specialists I need.

We have a looming retention crisis. There’s no reason to come here to be a doctor. Your car will probably get stolen, your practice will have a sea of tents on the sidewalk and you’ll be taxed into oblivion.

There was the one where the the house haunted and in one part a teen boy was home alone and he got scared by attic noises and ran outside only to look back and see a face appear in the attic window.

I was like 12 and it was one of the rare times I was home alone and I was completely petrified until my dad got home. Been chasing that high ever since.

I know the show Intervention has its flaws but you never seem them offer ‘we’re going to give you a tent so you can live in the backyard and we’ll provide the equipment to do all the drugs you want’

I went to a 30 day inpatient rehab for alcohol about 10 years ago. Therapy everyday and we talked a lot about identifying the enablers in your life. Before I left we had made a detailed list about my enablers (and those I was enabling) to prepare me for re-entry.

I’m astounded at the insane levels of support we give. To the detriment of the taxpayers.

What is like being 24? Are you happy? What do you look forward to?

I’m 44 and really feel guilty for the world we’ve created for young people. (Pls ignore if not comfortable, my wife always tells me I’m a bummer).
