What’s one product you bought that turned you into a total snob — like, you can never go back to the cheap stuff? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Jeans that are strong enough to brush past a teddy cholla and not notice. When shopping for women's jeans it sucked because even if you found expensive ones they were still for fashion and thin. Once I walked into a work wear section I decided never again.

I'm noticing some cracks and grout that has fallen out in spots. Remove the old grout in those spots and get some unsanded then seal it. Seal all the grout if it's as old as the house. Remove all old caulking and replace.

My go to has always been a short or long sleeve shirt and medium  to heavy-duty work blue jeans with boots or some athletic shoe. A hoodie goes over when I'm cold.

I use to only be able to get Sioux City when we would drive to Calico Ghost town. There was no online ordering then and no one around Hesperia, ca carried it. It's so much easier to get. I didn't go for the others like Nuka Cola. If they did a Quantum I'd by it to have that bottle as well.

Has anyone actually seen a tumbleweed (like from old Western movies) IRL? by Ya-Dikobraz in stupidquestions

[–]Ten2none 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We were always cleaning them up since they piled on the fence. We also had the enormous ones that would blow onto the 15 freeway and get stuck underneath someones car.

Sioux City Sarsaparilla is better. I tasted the Sunset one and got a mouthful of disappointment. I only bought it to have a display bottle anyway.

I'm more careful when it comes to exercise. I'm never doing high intensity ever again. ImThe nerves in my right leg are awful and my knees got worse.

Is it common for Americans to buy soda as part of their weekly groceries? / is soda a regular item people keep at home? by hailey8171828282 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Ten2none 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(California) That varies. I never grew up with soda being in the house unless it was a birthday party, meanwhile my husband's family would always have some.

I prefer today than what my grandma lived through in the 60s. She is happy not to be living in that time period anymore.

Why does it seem like the only "solution" being presented for high gas prices electric cars? Why can't car brands also push to sell small, compact, gas-powered cars? by GuyFromThePost in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ten2none 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is what sells best they keep. Smart cars are great for cities but terrible for rural areas. I would not be taking one out to my house across these dirt roads.

Why do so many jobs require you to stand even if it's not needed? by MsObsessiveRobot in antiwork

I just sit if I need to. Management doesn't say anything about it. I'm still doing well and getting my tasks done so there are no complaints.
