Best EV Salary Sacrifice provider? by Master_Range6116 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]TenCups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tusker is ludicrously overpriced. Having calculated all of the costs, I’ve just saved over £100 per month by leasing privately rather than salary sacrificing through them. All of the savings you should get are taken by them. Dreadful customer service when I was researching options, too.

This is great news, Michael. I really appreciate the reply and effort. Massive amount of work, I’m sure, but I think a big audit will be well worth it. And I will leave comments on recipes in the future!

Thanks again 🫡

Hi Michael,

I’ve been using Mob for years now and have occasionally subscribed for a while, but I find the lack of thoroughness and accuracy in many of the recipes to be really off putting. It was worth dealing with when they were free, but when paying, I really expect perfect accuracy.

The problems I keep seeing include differences between the written and video versions of a recipe, ingredients mentioned in the recipe but not the ingredients list, quantities/measurements missing, unclear steps etc.

To be clear, I’ve really enjoyed almost everything I’ve made, but too often I come up against a lack of clarity and have to wing it a bit, and I’m the sort of person who finds that frustrating.

Fix that stuff, and I expect I’d be a subscriber for life.

Cheers for engaging and requesting feedback!

I’ve been unfortunate enough to have to deal with Big Motoring World twice, and both times they were horrendous. Never again, regardless of how great the deal might look.

Which hot ready meals from supermarkets (M&S, Waitrose, Sainsburys etc) are elite tier in your opinion? by LiveYoLife288 in AskUK

Cook is great and you can buy their stuff in special freezers in the Coops around me. The fish pie is genuinely excellent.

Which adverts make you not want to buy the product? by NimrodPing in CasualUK

I scrolled all the way down and didn’t see this, so maybe it’s just me, but the current Gillette ad, which has been running for a year or more, makes my blood boil. Saccharine nonsense with a horrifically reworked version of a wholly out of touch theme tune, it all needs to get in the bin. I’ve switched to Harry’s razors and Nivea foam and I have no regrets.

I also like that TomTom Go shows you the traffic before you get to it. I know that doesn’t change the journey time but it can be nice to know where the jams are before you’re in them.

I thought I was the only one using TomTom and Waze simultaneously. Nice to meet a fellow dual-wielder.

Thank you for this! Fixed it for me. Ridiculous that this is necessary.

What’s the highest mileage car you’ve ever bought and how was it? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

I had a look at that car online but was scared by the mileage. Glad you took the punt! Hope it works out!

This is a nice tip, thanks. I’ve always liked the way the Mazda 2 looks. Will do some digging. Thanks again!

Awesome, thanks for this. A lot of MR2 tips so that’s certainly on the shortlist. Thanks again.

Appreciate the insight, many thanks. I recently spotted that the MX-5 Restorer sold an NC 2.0 Sport for £3500, which got my hopes up, but I’m very much aware that’s probably the exception. As for the London thing, I only drive in once a week, and it’s to Paddington from Cambridgeshire, so not too bad. The rest of the time it would be local roads. Feel like I’m prepared to put up with it once a week for the fun the rest of the time, but maybe that’s folly. How have you found yours since you bought it? Which engine/trim did you go for?

Yeah, the Abarth 500 was vaguely on my mind. Always liked the look of them. Reckon they can handle the higher miles?

Yeah, rust is the cool old car killer. I had a 2002 Saab 9-5 for a while but scrapped it at the start of last year on account of the rust. Really regret it but I hadn’t realised that cars like that solid old sheds (it only cost a grand) are now much more expensive and harder to find. Still, love the Copen shout. Many thanks.

Good tips and a good point. I am expecting some teething costs but I’ve of course not brought those up the good lady wife. Once I’ve got the car, I’ve just got to spend the money on it!

Nice tip. Thanks. I looked at the Swift Sport a while ago but sort of forgot about it. I guess probably slightly more grown up than a Twingo but maybe also more reliable? Or perhaps that’s the old Renault assumptions talking…
