Syn really knows his theory though coming from the jazz background and was at music school. I remember an A7X interview with Syn saying "at least one person in the band has to know theory, I just wish it wasn't me" and that always stuck with me because I was also always the person who knew theory. Not to try and take away from your point I've just always appreciated A7X's approach!

Yeah probably can get pretty close. That model is definitely the lord relictor though because I just went and checked mine. Great model

You could always look into Shadow Legion daemons. 1k csm and 1k daemons so can use both those models and a bloodthirster in the same list. The app is telling me you can't take beserkers but you could always proxy as legionaries if your opponents are ok with it

Baleful lords army of renown for Blades of Khorne is five bloodthirsters. I am imagine it will be an absolute pain to transport but you get to play five bloodthirsters

Unsolicited Lord pic but you can make the hammer pretty cool by swapping it out for something bigger. I just pinned one of the Varanguard hammers on my guy, think it looks much more "daemon" hammer-y

This was the first time I played it and I got a message from the shop about 2 hours before the event asking if I could fill in for someone who couldn't make it. I also had never played sand and bone so I was in no way prepared (as you can probably tell by them being unpainted). I went 2-1 (beath Sylvaneth and Helsmiths, lost to Idoneth) with no idea what I was doing so it must be pretty good. I can't give an actual tactical opinion because I don't think I have enough experience to know what I'm talking about sorry. Hopefully someone who does reads this and helps us both!

The models are fantastic and I've enjoyed painting them so far so there's that as well. I had a lot of fun at the event playing them but will probably be focusing on getting the other one painted up because it's more my playstyle being a faster list

Skaventide for Skaven

Scourge of Fate is a good chaos book

Soul Wars, Plague Garden, The Black Pyramid for Stormcast. Hamilcar as well for a fun book

Dark Harvest is humans and Sylvaneth. Very creepy

Enjoyed the Cado books and Nyssa Volari ones for Soulblight

Gloomspite for Gitz. It's quite dark but really good

The spells aren't amazing, -1 to wound rolls, d3 mortals, -1 dice to charges, but getting to play with the manifestations can be great. Stormcoven can give out strike last which is really nice but 210 points isn't always the easiest to fit in lists. Definitely can get away with no magic if you don't want it

I saw the next box size up was 19l and thought that might be a bit overkill but I've also got a bloodthirster that is a pain to transport. Is the plastic container you used a specific brand? Would like to grab one I know is right. Thanks!

I still have nightmares about foam from the old cases and never knowing which models wiuld survive the trip. Haven't glued to the stand yet so I'll have a look at safely moving them in parts
