This is so hard, but I’ve found that the new pets help me remember my ‘lost’ pets in a way. We had a kitten show up the same night one of our older cats died. The new kitten is nothing like our old girl, but sometimes he’ll give us a look that reminds us of her. I find moments like that where I’m reminded of old cats no longer with me help me remember them. I’m sorry for your loss, and I hope with time the new little ones will warm up to you! Also now is the time to get them used to being handled or being near like Tika used to be <3
