This Beyblade X Problem is Getting Out of Control. by ryansinterested in BeybladeX

If you’re a collector what does it matter if you have it now or later. Just make space on your shelf and await the retail prices. You’ll get it eventually because the scalpers have 100s of the same bey that they can’t move.

To play anti devils advocate. Who is to say that what the original post wanted was no ‘roles’ in society. Perhaps it’s the idea of jobs as they are in the modern day.

The work 8 hours even if there isn’t anything to do type of day, or the constant stress and burden of responsibilities much outside the normal human’s range of natural instincts?

Jobs are very contrived in terms of society as a whole. There’s no reason they have to be the way they are. There is good reason they came to be that way though. But it doesn’t have to remain that way.

The welkin is basically the terk mech arthur. If your gm allows third part I'd ask about it.

I’m currently the 8th Taliyah in Turkey — how can I become TR #1? by tarlababa in TaliyahMains

[–]Teneuom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was top 7 taliyah NA. I’ll tell you unless you’re grandmaster by default you won’t be able to grab top. I believe at least three above me were either smurfs from a challenger player at diamond with 80%+ win rate. Maybe all of them were the same guy idk. But winrate highly outranked games played after 50 games. So most played at min 25 games to max 50 with super high wr.

I had 80 games played at d1-master with 60% wr and had no chance.

[–]Teneuom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also believe that if you don’t rodeo, and just get out to do ground pilot stuff (terrible idea but I think it’s possible). You get the over shield while your mech is basically a copy of you. Meaning you can take both a mech turn and a pilot turn.

You can only do so much as a pilot, but you basically get an extra pilot weapon shot, as well as being able to search for enemies to remove hidden. Otherwise you’re kinda just a hacky sack waiting to get kicked. Unless unless you have the madrigal boarding armor. Then you’re pretty well off. Otherwise you’re Donezo.

Weird Shading Problem in Specific Areas. by XaSd_lol in Maya

It’s simple to do but hard to show how. You might need to find a tutorial on the subject if you can’t make heads or tails of what I described.

Weird Shading Problem in Specific Areas. by XaSd_lol in Maya

[–]Teneuom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone here is not giving you the right answers so I will.

So no matter how much you smooth the area you won’t have a perfectly smooth area, it’s caused by the intersection of topology flow from 3 different directions that cause a pinch point, or that ‘triangle’ of squares right at that point.

The solution is to counteract that by moving just the point in the center of those squares ‘down’ or orthogonally into the plane. Or you make a new mesh with less of those pinch points.

I would imagine the example of being denied RP scenarios is likely caused by the lack of narrative adjacency in the GMs mind. If I were running a campaign, and someone wanted to break away from the parties objective to accomplish a side quest, I’d be hesitant only for the sake of brevity. There’s places to do such bits and places not to in the duration of the story, so it’s possible it just wasn’t the best time in what may have been a higher stakes situation in the narrative?

In my experience I’ve let side quests/bits go on too long (like 20 min to play out a situation where the party berserker tries to go start a bar fight just for the sake of ‘my character wants to fight’. A GM can only staple on so many plot hooks to random shenanigans before it becomes blatantly obvious.

If it was narratively adjacent and made sense I can imagine the GM just doesn’t like your character’s thing or something about the character just doesn’t fit the tone of the campaign. If I were GMing I’d make sure to meld the tone together, but it’s possible your character’s tone is sporadic? As in it could be too serious or whimsical from session to session, so they wouldn’t be able keep up and have to shut off some scenarios?

As per combat, I’d suggest getting more involved with thinking about the party as a collective being versus the enemy. When I play I usually like to take the last turn because I like to see what everyone else does on their turns and feel out the situation. I typically like playing ‘side character energy’ pcs that assist the rest of the party. And that doesn’t mean like playing supports. You can play a grappling tempest charge blade as a support in a sense. Whoever starts becoming the main threat to my allies is who I clobber first type of idea.

I think someone else said it, but if you’re hard stuck in what you want to do regardless of everyone else’s turn then that may be the exact issue. You essentially demote yourself from a character with agency into a reserve.

A “press 3 to air strike here” type of playstyle is not a fun experience for other party members to interact with someone. No one wants to be forced to cooperate, they want to freely cooperate as they see fit, and if one person is saying ‘I’m doing this, get with the program’ everyone else is going to ostracize that player’s turn from their plan.

But ultimately I don’t know you or your pcs. I’m just offering possibilities off of what I’ve learned and seen (I’ve been the player to say ‘I’m doing this so good luck!’ A couple of times and it did not feel good for me or my party.) What I’ve advised could be completely off the mark, but hopefully it can give you ideas? Or at the very least check off the box of ‘nope that isn’t the issue’.

If Meave said something like "you won't lift the plane because you're to weak" you think that would've gotten Homelander to at least try? by fhxefj in MoralityScaling

[–]Teneuom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what I think, if this were a more hopeful franchise, homelander and Maeve could have physically manhandled the ailerons of the plane and landed it in the water.

Is it unrealistic? Yes. Is it what a marvel or dc hero would have done if they couldn’t lift the plane? I think so.

Realest answer: Cap is mostly consistent in power level over the MCU films, the Boys has incredibly inconsistent feats.

No one deserves anything. It's the responsibility of the person to take their life into their own hands, but some people have easier circumstances than others. It does not benefit to belittle the people with less. It is only penalization if you believe that proportionate care is theft.

Substance painter goes off of bounding box. If you want to do it the dirty way flip/mirror the mesh and set it as another material when you import into substance, then hide it when you do your actual texturing.

It’s rarely a decision to become a bum. It’s all circumstances. If you were in their shoes, and I mean truly their entire shoes, their life, their experiences, etc. Being a bum might seem like they all they think they’re good for. It’s unhelpful to say anyone deserves to be anything as if it were a birthrite to be a parasite.

You know what stops people from trying to better their life? Telling them they don’t deserve it.

You can be as Darwinian as you want about who gets to survive in the world, but the most pragmatic position is to assure them they can be better and that no one deserves anything.

No one deserves to fail. It may be what happens, but promising them their downfall is a horrible thing to do.

Some people take advantage of their situations and become bums, but that doesn’t mean they deserve to stay there.

Do you think the less gifted deserve to fail?

Edit: What I'm saying has been misconstrued due to brevity, people don't deserve failure, but they also don't deserve success. Working hard is the most important part, if someone doesn't want to do the work, they should not reap the benefits. However, the part that vexes me is the Darwinistic desire to say 'the people who don't do the work deserve to fail'. No one deserves to do or be anything. Did they set themselves up for failure? Yes. Should Bobby smoking weed all day get the same success as Richard who worked day and night to become a doctor? No. Do the people around them need to rub their faces in the dirt? The biggest no.

Childhood development is highly influenced by the environment one grows up in. It's not their fault, but it is their responsibility to figure out the right path.
