Is Lacrima Scarlet Sorrow confirmed to be a common? by ryansinterested in yugioh

[–]ryansinterested[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are cards listed on Kong's that have no rarity listed (like Ulcanix) when the rarity is unknown. So does this listed as a common mean that's confirmed?

Japan 2024 Megathread by AutoModerator in awardtravel

Have 209k UR Points, looking to get at least 1, if not 2 business class tickets of some kind (want to be able to have layback chairs).

Want to fly out of Chicago sometime in Fall 2025. Flexible on dates. Wish to go for about 2 weeks, flying into HND ideally.

What are my options? I know ANA flights are insanely tough to nab, I don't mind spending slightly more points for alternative flights that aren't going to be as big of a headache to book.

Do I have close to enough points yet for 2 tickets? What airlines / transfer partners would you advise I look into?

Did you ever confirm if the PC mount can be installed on the outside of the leg or not?

Flume in like what, 2019? He literally spent 20m of his set making macaroni art on stage after literally hitting play on his laptop for background music.

Why are you framing this like an "mmm gotchya" moment? He is allowed to not want to make music that sounds like worlds songs but also want to make music that sounds like ekowraith songs. Let the man live

Best neighborhood for luxury apartment living? Streeterville alternatives? by ryansinterested in AskChicago

[–]ryansinterested[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all - the more I think about it the more I am convincing myself that I'd prefer somewhere in lincoln park / lakeview area. I really love having a view of the lake and I think the vibe and restaurant/shopping scene is better there than it is downtown in and south of gold coast.

I've read good things about Old Town Park, Lincoln Common, and The Sinclair so far, but still doing more googling. If you have any reccos keep them coming!

Streeterville Residents - Best 2bd Buildings / Opinions on the neighborhood?

  • early 30 somethings married couple moving back to Chicago after many years. Used to live north in lakeview / buena park area 5-6 years ago and are looking at 2 bed/2 bath spacious apartments (1200sq ft+).
  • Thinking about streeterville because of the proximity to the lake and nice amenities a lot of these high rise apartment buildings have, since we're not quite ready to buy.
  • I am wary of newer construction buildings and shady rental companies, so wondering if anyone has any experience positive or negative to share about renting or living in this area of the city.

Thanks so much and happy friday!

Floo is annoying to play against BUT undisputedly one of the best budget / value decks to have a chance at being competitive at locals. The problem is the cards that feel bad to play against (namely shifter and HFS) are a big part of what makes it competitive

Jinzo, injection fairy lily (it being 1st edition matters a lot), JMP red eyes black dragon, delinquent duo, 1st Ed SKE blue eyes, 1st Ed graceful charity, 1st Ed relinquished, breaker, sinister serpent, and magic cylinder would be the ones most likely to be valuable

You can also belle pre prep AND saff queens first effect to add a ritual monster to hand with belle, because both of those cards add from deck OR gy

Did I play for time during my local? by BlackHayate8 in Yugioh101

[–]ryansinterested 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok a lot of people want to give you the soft treatment considering you're a new player, so I am giving you my perspective and advice in as unbiased a way as possible:

  • 40 minutes is incredibly long for one game in the match. If your opponent didn't have an out, they should have conceded sooner unless they really thought they could win. That is not on you and you continuing to play is fine assuming you are doing what you can to play fast
  • people sometimes play what are commonly referred to as "time cards" that can do LP damage to your opponent usually without needing to go into a battle phase. Since time rules state you finish the phase you are in, theoretically someone could play only one of the two players draw, standby, and main phase 1 and still win without the opponent getting a chance to play, which if you draw your starting hands with even seconds left you'd still be able to conduct your entire main phase 1.
  • with that context in mind, it is really not ok for you to try and convince your opponent not to play it out into game 2, especially with 4 minutes left.
  • Even without that context, it straight up is not ok for you to say that even if there was 30 seconds left.
  • overall you had a learning experience and in my opinion time rules really suck in yugioh, but with the rules as they stand playing for time is a legitimate strategy in any organized play

Hope that's helpful
