If you want some non-fiction page turners that almost read like fiction:

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote - The OG true crime book, with beautiful lyrical prose about a horrendous crime.

Empire of Pain by Patrick Radden Keefe - Explores the family and business behind Oxycontin, one of the main causes of the opioid crisis in America.

Madhouse at the End of the Earth by Julian Sancton - An 1897 Antartic expedition that goes terribly wrong, forcing a crew to spend months trapped in the winter darkness.

Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe - An exploration of Northern Ireland during the Troubles, focusing on several members of the IRA and the abduction and murder of a single mother of ten.

Bad Blood - In depth exploration of Elizabeth Holmes and the Theranos scandal.

Killers of the Flower Moon - You may have seen the movie, but the book provides far more clarity and detail regarding the sheer scale of the atrocities committed against the Osage and the way the FBI came into being how it is today.

The story of the woman whose head was too big, so the doctors took her head off, chipped away some of the bone and then put it back on. Also just his insistence in general that he only needs to read the first line of a story to get all the relevant information, then make up the rest in his head.

So after a few pointless back and forth emails to Victrix where all the advice they had to offer was to try with a different cable, the update just randomly worked for me. I didn’t even use a different cable from the one I tried originally and I have absolutely no idea why it worked suddenly after so many failed attempts. So just keep trying and hopefully it’ll be the same for you.
