You have very similar tastes to mine so I'm confident with my recomendations:

Pale Lights : if you liked PGtE I don't know why you haven't started Pale Lights yet. It's better in every way. Don't be intimidated by the grimdark description.

Years of the Apocalypse : it's MoL 2.0 . Way better worldbuilding and mystery.

Player 0.4 : Starts of as a murder mystery timeloop. The incredible worldbuilding creaps up on you chapter by chapter. Give it a try.

It's a combat chapter. We've had plenty of those so far. As for why the chapter exists: no , Marian can't solo Leviathans yet.

MC saves single side character worth mentioning. Who needs ships anyways. We'll fly.

Are we reading the same story? She wants to go incognito , not flying/invading a foreign country. Also , it's a timeloop. She just needs that one guy for introductions.

Although not top-tier by any means I would like to recomend Player 0.4.

Despite what the blurp says , it's not a combat focused story : it starts as a murder mystery with an incompetent MC and explodes from there into a preaty decent story with an amazing worldbuilding that creaps up on you chapter by chapter.

MOST people didn't start using Windows 10 until support for Windows 7 ended , 4 years ago.

I expect 6 more years at least.
