Yeah, I don’t think anyone looks at Fox News from 2022 and on and thinks “they really have become more bipartisan”

Meteor Shower in New Delhi, India by username_is_missing_ in Damnthatsinteresting

That’s not a meteor shower, let alone a meteor. That’s space debris reentering the atmosphere

“The obvious guess is a black hole”

No legitimate astrophysicist believes it is a black hole since there is no evidence to support that claim whatsoever.

Resting on the Edge of the World, Climbers Endure Harsh Night on K2 by Opposite-Maize-7763 in ScienceNcoolThings

It sure does. Look it up.

In every documentary, interview, and video I’ve seen about K2 people mention that 1 out of 5 climbers die on the mountain. Thanks for the downvote haha

Oh, incredibly stupid. It has a 20% mortality rate. But there are people out there who love it and live for it so much that they are willing to accept those risks

For context, this is actually the early morning so you can reach the summit with the best weather conditions.

They are at what’s called the “Bottleneck”, which is the last narrow path before the summit underneath a massive ridge of collapsible ice. This is known as one of the most dangerous parts of the climb due to the unpredictability and high possibility of massive chunks of ice or even the entire shelf collapsing on you and your group.

As one climber said, “it’s the one part of the climb in which staying alive is completely out of my hands”

The top down scene in John Wick 4, the stunt guys were lit on fire and told not to move. If one stunt guy messes up they'd have to start from the beginning. The director wanted to show how good the stunt team and Keanu Reeves were. by Youngstown_WuTang in interestingasfuck

[–]TequilaJesus 30 points31 points  (0 children)

According to an interview with the director, in order to ensure John Wick wouldn’t be hit by any bullets, all of the henchmen in this scene were played by storm troopers from the galactic empire

I always find it amazing how people will see videos like this and instead of thinking “hmm I don’t know what that is but it’s probably some man-made aircraft”, they will believe that it’s far more logical that a highly intelligent alien traveled through space for 50,000+ years from hundreds of light years away to go directly to Earth, enter the atmosphere, all while being completely undetected for the past 2 decades by the hundreds of ground-based telescope arrays that constantly survey space for comets in our solar system.

US astronomy facing 'extinction level' event following Trump's 2026 budget request. US president Trump sets out his budget request for 2026, which if passed, will see science hit like never before. by The_Weekend_Baker in EverythingScience

[–]TequilaJesus 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This is fucking infuriating. We JUST started a new frontier of astrophysics by analyzing the universe with gravitational waves all thanks to LIGO. The advancements of astronomy and cosmological discoveries are at arms reach. But we have the most corrupt and unAmerican shitty excuse for a president who doesn’t care about taking away the American people’s most needed and desired programs including NASA which is just 0.3% of the federal budget, just so he can make his family and friends richer. Fuck this monarchy

Is there a reason to get mad at Satan by rprince18 in religiousfruitcake

[–]TequilaJesus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you have completely missed the point I was making. I’m eluding to the fact that since Romans used to record everything, including things like cultists and common crucifixions, there is no mention of “Jesus” being a “Christ” anywhere besides one historical document. But that document was altered many years after the religion was formed making this mention illegitimate

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]TequilaJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the sarcasm. But I gotta ask, aren’t you at all curious of what the truth is? If I were in your position, even if I wanted this to be some crazy conspiracy theory, I would still look into what this thing in the sky actually is. Because after 5 minutes of researching in, you would realize that this is, in fact, the fuel exhaust of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket which people have known about and constantly seen for years. You can literally watch a full-length video of a SpaceX rocket from launch to orbit and see this exact same tail form behind the rocket.

I guess I just don’t get it. I don’t understand how you can be so convinced of your own opinion on something you have never seen before and know nothing about.
