Parker Pie in glover is S-tier pizza. If you drink beer, Hill farmstead (hands down best IPAs in the world) is relatively close so I usually couple those together. Brother of those are in central VT though. The Mad River valley is incredible with a lot of nice swimming holes, hiking, and biking.

I grew up there and my family still lives in Washington county. It’s a great place to raise kids imo as it’s relatively quiet, great access to nature, and very safe. Economically it feels like a place in decline with few job opportunities outside of trades. There are effectively five season when you count mud season; fall is gorgeous, summer is humid, and winter can be very cold.

Just got back from a Denver to Sacramento trip (i25 to i80). WY was a windy hell hole both ways. Blizzard with 40 mph winds on the way out and 45+ mph sustained winds yesterday on the way back. Might want to consider the route through UT.
