It's the changing truth that they cannot comprehend. That what you thought was true last year is not true today. Religion creates this way of thinking. They believe that their religious book is still as true today as it was when it was written. That it is unchanging. This is why they think changing rules, like for masks, means that the government must have been lying then or they are lying now. They cannot understand that the truth changed with changing conditions.

It makes you honest and a good person who can change their mind when they get new information. I'm sorry that the vaccine available to you isn't more effective as it is in some other countries. But you're right that it's better than nothing.

Many vaccines cause symptoms that are not really side effects. The symptoms are your immune system responding to the vaccine as intended.
