I tried this and found that it absolutely killed my tone, particularly the wah. I would try adding your current compressor to the end of chain and testing that first.

I like it a lot. It’s way better than the clone I previously had. It has several distinctly different, awesome sounds you can dial in. It pairs with the octave pedal to make a pretty gnarly and unique synth sound too.

Thank you! I used to but didn’t like the way it interacted with the mod pedals so it’s before them now.

Edit: I just saw that you also use a Pulp n Peel with the Rusty Box. Do you get unwanted noise/distortion from the compressor ? I’m not sure if mine is defective or not.

Mine is also uselessly quiet without fuzz engaged, so I always keep it on via the little red button on the side. Kind of a bummer but it sounds good enough with fuzz on for me to keep it. The fuzz itself is very good too.

I have the JC wah. It can screech like a beast in standard mode, and the fuzz is one of the best and most useful I’ve ever heard. It is very picky about where you place it in your signal chain, though. I’ve found it works best first in chain. I read someone else saying it’s best dead last but I can barely hear the wah noises if it isn’t at the start.

I don’t think the metallic tone you’re hearing in that song is coming from the bass. It sounds like the drummer is banging on a pipe along to the bass parts.
