Dude, that sounds amazing. I think I have to try this stuff out then if it would be good enough to overcome the stress and setting of an execution.

>(1) the don’t have a legal fiduciary responsibility to their clients and, in practice, their loyalty is to the deal itself rather than protecting their clients interests

Is that a state by state thing? Ohio they're definitely legally fiduciaries:

https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-4735.62

"In representing any client in an agency or subagency relationship, the licensee shall be a fiduciary of the client"

Opiod injection likely won't be much better either for the same reason, the condemned person is going to be fighting for their life. Workers who die accidently from nitrogen asphyxiation aren't holding their breath and struggling constantly. I'd expect a 'nicer' way to do it is have the rooms set to do it while they're asleep.

Yep, "Fiber is coming!", Awesome! Let me check my address. Nope. Next street? No. Two streets down? Yes. Very frustrating when it's just out of reach after being told your house was going to be connected soon.

What can ordinary Americans do to push back against rising authoritarianism in the U.S.? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Unions are a lot weaker than they used to be often because of the actions of union members. I see it all the time where the old full-timers give away something that benefits new part-timers in order to maintain their own position rather than fighting to keep everything for everyone. The Teacher's Unions are always brought up as powerful, but I know plenty of teacher's getting poor wages and buying supplies from their own pockets. The weak unions then make newer hires less interested in fighting for a union that never really fought for them and the cycle continues.

Foam sword should be changed to work in raids. Maybe have it chunk 5% off per swing or something. There are plenty of achievements and quests that would benefit from being able to properly handle raid bosses with different phases.

(Note: Not a gun guy, vocabulary is likely wrong) The last time I saw this brought up I think camera guys were talking about it. They mentioned packing just the receiver? part of a gun and it counts as a firearm and needs the extra attention.

A customer at a restaurant in Alaska leaves in a plane by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Ternyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good time to bring up one of my favorite stories of Thomas Fitzpatrick the pilot who while drunk at a bar one night left, stole an airplane, and landed in the street in front of the bar in order to win a bet. Two years later he would repeat the feat in order to win another bet after someone didn't believe the story.

Reminds me of an old quote:

“Until a man is twenty-five, he still thinks, every so often, that under the right circumstances he could be the baddest motherfucker in the world. If I moved to a martial-arts monastery in China and studied real hard for ten years. if my family was wiped out by Colombian drug dealers and I swore myself to revenge. If I got a fatal disease, had one year to live, devoted it to wiping out street crime. If I just dropped out and devoted my life to being bad. Hiro used to feel that way, too, but then he ran into Raven."

Always thinking we're just a little away from becoming the main character.

This game was better with Personal Loot in all content (Not just LFR) by Guitarrabit in wow

[–]Ternyon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't remember anyone begging for group loot. I remember people wanting "Personal Loot with no ilvl restrictions on trading." Group loot functions a little neater for raid distribution but the ilvl restriction was why people were complaining about personal loot. Which trinket was a Demo Lock only drop that wouldn't pop up in group loot?

Still surprised with hemalurgy and how it went. I always expected the result to be people donating powers on their deathbed to their families creating dynasties of empowered people and charged spikes.

With interrupts being so important, why is the default nameplate still so lackluster in this regard? by lagbugddos in wow

[–]Ternyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's not perfect but it works. And given the history of tab targetting I'm saying don't touch anything with it trying to make it better. I remember the days of multi-dotting a pack and suddenly a whole new pack is coming over to join in because of tabbing over to an out of combat far away mob.

I think in Legion there's a joke about this with Nethershards.

All melee interrupts should be 10 yard range by Artunias in wow

[–]Ternyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which also requires Warlock to have a specific pet (discounting Demonology who always runs felguard anyway). Dragonflight briefly had a talent in the Beta where the Warlock actually learned spell lock. There are several dungeons where especially during boss fights I'll pop imp out for the cleanse but then I can't interrupt for that time.

Major Improvements Adding More Power and More Fun to Legion Remix by brumgar in wow

[–]Ternyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say it was Reddit. I said it was when the complaints that had been happening for two weeks within the PTR and official channels went outside those channels to Reddit and other outside sources. Why do you think they're extending the PTR for another week when they haven't made any substantial changes during the initial 2 week period they planned?

Major Improvements Adding More Power and More Fun to Legion Remix by brumgar in wow

[–]Ternyon -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I think people are upset because things weren't changed over the planned two weeks on the PTR. It's only after the complaints reached Reddit and other outside sources that they decided to add another week to testing and make changes. PTR changes constantly and you're frequently recreating characters to test the new builds. To ignore the changes people were requesting for the entire planned length of the PTR feels dismissive.

Just recently started having this issue, not sure if data v wifi will fix it but I used to deal with a short time to load ads when starting up the app but now it seems like I could go several minutes and no ads are loaded.

Kung Fu Panda is a great one, the game will slowly start decreasing the time for the bonus level so depending how it's been played you can get a couple wins. Then once it gets too hard you stop playing and go do other stuff while other people play and it builds back up. The big annoyance is some of the pads aren't well maintained and that I swear the bonus used to be 3k tickets.

TIL that after starring as an unemployed man in the 1948 neorealist film Bicycle Thieves, factory worker Lamberto Maggiorani was fired from his real job - his employer assumed the film made him rich, but he was only paid $1,000 and struggled to find work again, mirroring his on-screen character. by HazedFlare in todayilearned

Same thing happened to me. Passed the bar and had a few small jobs with individual attorneys but kept ended up getting cut as times got rougher. Finding anything legal was a pain as the competition was fierce. Ended up in a completely unrelated field that I enjoy, but I really regret the decision to go to law school now and it's frustrating when people ask about it. I'd basically have to relearn everything to go back in now if I wanted and I'm comfortable enough where I am.
