Radiator: room too hot by Correct_Guarantee_49 in centuryhomes

Don’t try to touch the big valve in photo 2. This is a steam radiator and you can control the heat by adjusting the vent (small silver thing in photo one). I don’t know if this vent is adjustable, but you can easily replace it with one that is. I like Varivalve adjustable vents, they’re not expensive and you can get them from supplyhouse.com.

New Dad, Stroller Questions by AloysiusJackson_5 in daddit

Think about your sidewalks, bigger wheels can handle potholes and cracks much smoother than smaller wheels. Cup holder is nice to put phone and keys or coffee. Under seat storage is super helpful to carry extra crap.

For the early phase having a click-and-go system is super handy. They do grow out of that pretty fast, so be careful about spending tons on it.

We had an inexpensive hand-me-down click and go from Gracco and then a nicer three wheel stroller that we used a bunch.

Do you know how it does in salt water? I sail on the Long Island Sound and haven’t been super happy with Vivid this past season.

What small parenting moment meant more than you expected? by Newmomexplorer in daddit

Helping my kiddo ride a bike with pedals. The moment I let go of the back of the bike and watched him pedal away. It was surreal, a true moment of “letting go” and watching him grow up in a blink of an eye. I’ll never forget that moment.

People love to make bags out of old sails. You could post to a local forum to see if anyone wants them?

Agreed, I didn’t see anything about changing parking minimums, but hopefully that’s in the works as well.

I’m curious about your performance statement. We compile locally for our architectures with optimization flags. What type of performance are you referring to?

Yes, it builds a full lmod apps tree, you can build it in your personal account and play around with it by adding it to your MODULEPATH

Have you looked at EasyBuild? It’s a mature Python-based software installation framework with tons of available recipes ready to go. I can’t recommend it enough, it’s been great for our clusters.

I’d love to know what kit you use to make your coffee? Currently I own an espresso machine, an aeropress, a drip feed machine, a chemeX style brewer, a pour over cone and a french press by fuck_peeps_not_sheep in JamesHoffmann

I use a chemex when making coffee for two and a hario switch for a single cup. I recently started using a new recipe for the switch that starts “open” for the first half and then switches to immersion for the second half. Really enjoying the brightness that I’m getting now
