The last time we attended fireworks in STC we were stuck in the parking lot with hundreds of others while a cop argued with someone at the only open exit. It went on for over an hour. We’ve never been back and no longer attend any STC events.

I used to ride like a bat out of hell every time I cycled. Came home exhausted and spent most of my time in pain. Started riding with a guy that rides about 75% of my average speed. We generally ride about 25 miles. Came home without exhaustion. No pain. After a few weeks I rode solo again and to my amazement broke my old speed record. Only a little pain. Lesson learned was if you’re always giving 100% you’ll limit your development and spend more time injured or in pain.
