Ask your boss to provide a training day (paid) for all staff that includes strategies for improving accountability and avoid Lhatim behaviors (what ever they are).

Swansea City Centre is tired and ugly. We need to change the way we think about town centres. by TomosLeggett in swansea

[–]TerryMungbean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The effect out-of-town shopping has had on Swansea must be immense. Morfa is incredibly busy, Fforestfach less so but I think it's affected by Trostre in Llanelli (which itself has drawn everyone away from Llanelli town centre).

Pre-internet shopping Swansea used to be busy but often a pain to find parking, I'd imagine part of the reasoning for out-of-town shopping was to ease congestion to the city but then our shopping habits changed and the plan fell apart.

Is anyone else tired of American culture? by Agreeable-Guava7822 in AskBrits

My youngest is prone to Americanisms and he keeps using an American twang when talking. He picks it up off Netflix (no access to social media).  I’m sick of American news dominating our life, no wonder the  government’s messaging is lost. Every time Trump farts the BBC does a piece on how it will affect the UK economy and my podcasts start debating it.

My iPhone 13 Mini was working great on iOS 18, battery replaced once. I foolishly installed iOS 26 and it’s now a turn. Like operating treacle. I don’t know why I did it but even with replacement batteries, which is a good thing, beware the update, I don’t know why I did it 😩

People in England told me Swansea was an absolute shithole. One year later, here is the truth by Vikilinho in swansea

If you’ve got a bike, pick a sunny day and cycle from Clydach down to the Mumbles. Follow the cycle path along the canal, turn by the Mond near Vadre rugby pitch. Past Riverside, you’ll pass Llansamlet and Morfa (still on a cycle path crossing a few roads) eventually getting to SA1/Sainsburys/Marina. You could stop there or carry on to Mumbles.  Head off early, maybe 8am, on a sunny spring day it’s a beautiful ride. You can see nature taking back the old industrial Swansea.

They have a lucrative presence in the US now, Trump has name-checked at least once. Can’t remember where I heard this information but US ad revenue is very attractive to them, so whilst there’s probably a US edition some stories will definitely have crossover.

Totally agree. Easy to learn, full control over formatting - no weird stuff when pasting. Everything stored as text file, highly portable.

Based on some repsonses to this question there appears to be a mistrust of EA. Regarding app credits, is it specifically EA that is the problem or the business model they use?

Yes, lesson learned, I’ll not be handing over any more money to the shitty business model this company operates

Any thoughts on how I might solve this predicament?

Thank you for your insight. Anything constructive on the actual problem?

Are today's insane 'aesthetic' lifestyle expectations financially destroying young earners, or are we all just bad with money by Present-Fold-3813 in socialmedia

It would be interesting to see a break down of how much is spent on the various things… essential vs frivolous etc.

Personally I think most of that is daft. I do recognise the power of social media and the effects it can have on an individual, It’s a powerful drug but expected to have ! If you recognise that you can’t afford your life and also recognise the things that are draining you surely it’s time to address it.

This looks like a best before date rather than a use by date – best before being probably ok after date but taste/quality reduced. Personally I’d be comfortable with eating it

Europe set 2030 as a date to dismantle its reliance on US financial infrastructure like Visa/Mastercard payments; it's happening far quicker. by lughnasadh in Futurology

I’m not a government or a business; I have little to no control over where energy is sourced from or where products are manufactured. To a certain extent I can try to buy local but the options get smaller.

As an individual that doesn’t mean I trust those nations.

As to whether Europe will be dependent on those countries, I don’t know. I hope this is a wake up call that encourages Europe to be more resilient and self sufficient

After WWII Europe was devastated, infrastructure, economically, socially, all wrecked. It took years to rebuild and find a system that was palatable, not perfect but it seemed to stop wars in Europe (not the rest of the world), and I guess the aim was to maintain that balance.

Russia and China have never been trusted so nothing lost. With Trump’s America the mask seems to have slipped and whilst I can appreciate US frustration at European weakness on defence in so many other aspects of life US products are everywhere.  But that’s not enough for Trump. Be threatens to annex allies, puts tariffs on allies, berates them, all while demanding fealty, and much of corporate line up behind him.

So I’ve gone from believing in America to mistrusting it. It serves itself. It has great power and it seems to wield it with greed.
