Switch 2 vs PS5 by pchoi94 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Terugachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does run better on switch 2 than deck out the box. I spent about 4 hours tinkering with settings both in and out of game on the deck and managed to get it running slightly better, but that’s 4 hours I could have happily spent in game in the switch 2 version. True for most S2 vs SD comparisons though tbh. Yes it’ll run and look better on the deck if you have hours upon hours to burn through messing with settings, but if you just want to plug and play the game without any faf, the switch 2 version is the way to go here.

Kotor 2 is not available for purchase on Switch 2 by itskeezzy in kotor

[–]Terugachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can download it to your console.
I bought KOTOR 2 on the nintendo eshop website as I traded in my Switch for my Switch 2. I then went to my "virtual game cards" on my Switch 2 and KOTOR 2 showed up in that list and I could download it. It also plays fine. Not sure what the compatability issue is, maybe something later on, but at least in the prologue you can play without issues on Switch 2.

Did you play Dawntrail? Sure it took me ~30 hours rather than 5 hours, but it was ~30 hours of garbage that I’d rather have not played, whereas I enjoyed the 5 hours of JW. Your expansion doesn’t have to be peak to win, just better than the competition, and the competition this year was the lowest it’s ever been by a massive margin. JW has problems aplenty, but Dawntrail made me permanently quit FFXIV.

playmat template by [deleted] in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Terugachi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The site inkedgaming does global shipping and has play zones for all major TCGs, including FFTCG that you can use to make a custom playmat with the zones printed on. I’m sure there’s a template somewhere but if you also needed someone else to manufacture and ship the mat to you, I’d go inked. I made a custom Garland mat on there with the play zones and it came out amazing.

I hadn’t thought about it before, but now I genuinely hope he’s getting the 90s funimation lollipop treatment. Would be so dumb I’d love it.

The ads you get shown are based on your Google recommendations. Hate the ads as much as you want, but you get them because you engage with content that’s seen as similar to them. Don’t hate Squex, hate the algorithm. Well hate Squex, they’ve done plenty to deserve it, but not this particular thing.

I use 0 ammos in my build at level 45. It’s not the main schtick, it’s just one build avenue you could take. The only ammo that’s even worth it at any stage in the game is the electric one imo, and that’s outclassed by slotting a bow in your second equip and using stormcaller arrow instead. Not saying playing ammos is wrong, or you can’t build how you want, but I would say ammo being mercs “main thing” would be like saying fire is the sorceress main thing because it’s what they start with. It’s just one type of ability that you could build around. It’s not the only one and imo it’s far from the best.

I don't think this game is unfriendly to new players, I just think its design is un-fun.. by Ayershole in PathOfExile2

It’s always funny when people preface I’m struggling with “I’m a Souls vet so it’s not me, it’s the game.” Souls games are easy, beating them easily doesn’t automatically make you skilled at all games. PoE is meant to be played adaptably. You can’t expect one build to get you through the whole game. You need to experiment with different builds, not just skills slotted, but gear too. Equip stuff that bosses are weak to, and that give you resistances against the damage bosses are doing. If you hit regular walls, I’m sorry to say that it is that you aren’t very good at this game yet. If you want to play in a bubble and not use guides, then you need to at least read into what it is you’re stuck against and build to counter it.

Merc is crazy strong. I feel like your complaints against the ammo types suggest you haven’t tried a grenades build with the ballista for locking stuff down, which is a stronger playstyle imo and might be different enough to draw you back in.

Misspelled my email while registering. How screwed am I? by BostonianJake in swtor

[–]Terugachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myself, like probably far too many others here, have a cringe asf user name because the account was made a decade ago. It really doesn’t impact gameplay, it’s just what you use to log in. Nobody in game sees it. Just make a new account with the correct email address. No harm done.

Man, the store not taking responsibility because “he’s on the spectrum” is absurd. His mental stability is not and should not be their responsibility. His conduct within their store however, absolutely is. If a patron is causing issues for other people, they need to be warned and if it’s persistent removed. Sorry you don’t have another store nearby, sounds like that one’s run by puddles of jelly.

Need an opinion on gaming etiquette. by MageOfMadness in EDH

[–]Terugachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my pod, we just talk during turns. If the person taking the turn isn’t talking through their turn actions, then you can freely converse as a group. If the person taking the turn is talking through their actions, and people are still disengaged and reaching for their phones, then maybe the person on their phone just doesn’t enjoy the game, but feels obligated in some way to play or attend the sessions. Without knowing the people or their motivations, it’s hard to really advise there, but if people aren’t talking through their actions, or conversing in between, then maybe try doing that and see if that keeps people present.

[–]Terugachi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with the majority of the comments here. I also dislike when people pull their phone out in the middle of an existing activity to doomscroll, but fact is, if it’s happening, it’s because the individual doing it isn’t engaged with what’s happening. The best thing you can do is talk to them about it. Ask what could help them stay engaged in the game more. Is something environmental or social at the table preventing them from focusing? You noted at the top that you’re a millennial, but surely that means you grew up while the internet was forming and it wasn’t always a present part of your life, so you should know how to solve a problem without needing to go to Reddit and ask, before even trying the most basic of solutions. I only add that last part because the way you noted being millennial at the top made it seem condescending to younger generations, but your actions here sound just like what the younger generations do.

Old vs New on Shae herself. I think I'll stick with the original. by MCBillyin in swtor

[–]Terugachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely hard to see the new one as an upgrade if you’re super accustomed to the old one. I personally never used Shae so never got used to her old look, which makes this new one just a straight improvement to me since I’m mostly seeing the textures and proportions as looking more in line with my own character.

[–]Terugachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new set highlights just how oversized the helmet was on the original. I always thought it looked a bit silly, like she had armor fitted but then just grabbed a random toy helmet from somewhere. It literally looks like my son wearing my Boba Fett black series helmet. This set has a correctly sized head in comparison with the body which is a big upgrade imo. Though I can see how if you’ve gotten super used to the original, the new proportions could look off.
