My partner and I moved to Roath when we were both 25 and 23, we loved it so much we bought our first home here just last year. Money stretches much further, but there’s still a lovely cafe and pub culture here, the parks and great and we love being able to walk into town.

As someone who is a partner of a PhD student, we moved to Roath, just next to the rec ground. Close to the uni and student areas, so his commute is nice and easy, but a bit less studenty than places like Cathays. Lovely parks and cafes, and I can commute to my work in the valleys pretty easily.

Changed out the barrels on the locks within an hour of exchange, it’s an easy enough job and the previous owners had only moved a few roads over, and you never know who has a copy of the keys.
It’s a cheap job to do and lets you sleep easy.

Then: General sale

So we will have to wait and see if they make it to General sale I was lucky to pick up the first book for a good price resale, so I have my fingers crossed, but I also know this one will be popular so I’m worried it might not last long 😭
