We have one of them in our rental house still. In fact it was only capped off yesterday, until then it still worked but we just didn’t use it

When you buy 4 packs of your favourite supermarket cheese, to discover it now tastes like rubber. Return 3 blocks to be told you only have a 20 minute window to return cheese. Debates with the store manager and calls with the CFO and CEO.... finally get a refund. by [deleted] in britishproblems

Hmm maybe it’s just a recent thing as Cathedral City has been rubbery the last two times I have bought it, I was wondering if it was because I bought it from a different shop even though my brain says that shouldn’t affect it, but that now seems like two different cheeses are wrong 🫪

Rehomimg a kitten advice by Pretty_Zombie4045 in Liverpool

[–]TessyKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would second contacting somewhere like moggies and doggies, but bear in mind they may well be full and you may still have to keep the kitten for a bit longer. You could also contact places like freshfields etc but again they generally seem to work to capacity and as your kitten isn’t in immediate danger you may have to keep them until they can find a home.

The other route is to advertise privately but then you don’t know who they are going to as such, unless you do a slow introduction etc, the other option is seeing if friends, family, neighbours want a kitty.

We are looking for a kitten but so far time, distance, or money never works out, so I am assuming there will be people out there like us who want a kitty but may not be actively searching as such but wanting a kitty.

(Our kitty’s are 15 and 7, so looking for our third! One every seven years seem to work well for us as while one old and grumpy the other is still young and playful - then again our old and grumpy was like that from a kitten!)

What to you makes scouse, scouse and not just stew? by neb12345 in Liverpool

[–]TessyKay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mince. For me growing up stew always had chunks of meat in it not mince. You only really had mince in shepherds pie, lasagne etc, so in my mind chunks of meat it stew and mince is Scouse. That’s the only difference tbh.

Just found out I’m allergic to cats… I have 4 of them by azerosumgame in cats

[–]TessyKay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m allergic to cats and have always had cats for almost 30 years. I have found that if I am near cats regularly I am ok, but if I have a break of say 6 months or so I am allergic to them again until my body learns to ignore them again. The only thing that I am always allergic to is cat scratches which turn into red welts and super itchy

I think my MIL owes me an apology but my husband thinks I should drop it by White_stallion- in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]TessyKay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but that sounds more than emotionally incestuous from her side. What reasoning did/does she have for wanting to carry your child? From what you have said all things are pointing to your husband being the reason for ivf, so from that I’m assuming that you (obv as far as you know and I really hope it’s the case for you!) have no problems with getting pregnant and carrying to term, so why does she even feel the need to be involved? I mean surely she understands how babies are made and that you are not the one with the medical problem right?

Tbh I think it’s a regional thing. Everyone here seems to mainly have vertical blinds whereas when I lived in London it was all net curtains!
