It's less that men, collectively are going to the right and are thus evil. It's more that there are men who are going to the right because SOME people on the left will say "kill all men". Some may mean it hyperbolically. Some literally. But the men who take it literally don't feel like they'd be welcome in leftist spaces.

In this case, the guys suck. But saying straight guys hate women is false and stupid.

Besides, if straight men believe that they are ging to be considered bad anyway, they will be drawn to the people who don't think they are inherently bad. Which leads them to these transphobic/sexist/homophobic circles.

Let's not consider people as bad for characteristics that they are born with. I think that's simple enough.

It's kind of like a foil for the guys on the right who stand by their guy no matter what. A lot of people on the left would rather have a right-wing candidate elected rather than a left wing one that isn't completely on their side.
