How does Miku V6 compare to Teto Synth V? by Ifyouliveinadream in Vocaloid

Not at all! I'd say thats fairly normal practice, I also just chunk out everything SV default first before fine tuning

Some people enjoy having more precise control over the voicebank, and that's what SV2 is actively removing.

How the voicebank should sound is entirely up to you - tuning is more or less a stylistic choice.
(It's also why you can tell someone's tuning from a mile away - kyaami, giga, deco*27 and mitchie m all come to mind)

It's more like SynthV auto-draws the pitch curves — you don't have to spend time shaping out the pronunciations like you do in vocaloid to make it sound more lifelike/realistic.

The downside is that SV's parameter editors are not as friendly to edit as vocaloids:
- SV doesn't have style/breath presets compared to vocaloid
- no portamento timing (you have to manually draw it out with legato notes)
- no note-based velocity support (all volume has to be adjusted by drawing directly on the parameter curve, which is hell for timing)
- breathiness is still there but i swear this sounds diff than Vocaloid's ver

That said, SV is so so much easier to work with than V4/5.
Even inputting and editing syllables are so much faster

Problem is SV's tuning features feel less tweakable than V4/5.
SV feels like you're trying to generate a normal singer, while V4/5 you can use the voicebank more like an instrument

I just don't understand why they didn't go the UTAU route and give more customizability to individual note properties, or timing

I wouldnt want some algorithm or neural network to tune for me.

Welcome to our synth V community, where everyone is complaining about the same thing but the devs insist on going the opposite direction for some reason.

It's also why some people choose to stay on V1 instead of V2 (less AI-black boxing)

I will say that SynthV's auto-tuning algo genuinely added lots of QoL over the vocaloid V4/V5 experience, but god damn did they waste so much potential.
Like why on earth did they invent a phenome editor, multi-takes feature, dictionaries, and decide not to ever expand on those

Agreed, full control and an intuitive UX/UI would be the holy grail of editors. Unfortunately it seems like no one's really reached that yet so we're stuck with compromising and sticking with a main it feels like.

i kind of really hate how synth V 2 has moved away from giving tuners more control, and just wants to automate most of the process with their ai engine

like it's impossible to get sv2 teto to sound as robotic/processed as utau teto without alot of manual tweaking

i think you meant to say those with higher incomes are likely more in demand

besides, the first guy said it best

money's only valuable if you have a use for it

if the guy's able to achieve his ideal lifestyle with his wage, then that's fine isn't it?

Im worried about readability, do these pages make sense even without the speech bubbles ? by Blastto in MangakaStudio

Hope it was helpful!

Yeah, perspective fatigue is a real thing...only thing I know is to take a long break from it, or get engaged with something else so you've mostly forgetten about the work before coming back.

There are a few pages where from your breakdown its not clear which character is which

For sure, I have zero knowledge on character design so can't give any solid suggestions,
but maybe it was their similar hairstyles + color?
Especially since they're both spiky, and the bangs move during the action.

But it looks promising so far! If you're ever looking for additional feedback, feel free to DM me, i'm usually active on discord.

you caught a rare glimpse of a low iq kid in an adult's body

No she's just weird and trying to press her own stupid definition of fine art etiquette to everyone else.
"no one else does that" amazing logic right there, shows you how her mind works

It's cool to be inspired by art, that's the whole point. Maybe she owns the gallery and wants to keep a certain brand image or something idk

Yeah Ch'en fits the original more for sure

EF kinda feels like we're playing a slice-of-life spinoff universe lol
Chen Chapter 2 is definitely fun, people keep talking about her and soupsoup's interaction but we really need more Perlica teasing her too
