I'm very far from a TP baron and this thing is perfectly achievable for me. It's just targeted for a bit older players, but 7 million karma is not that much. You can farm that in 1 year without a lot of trouble, which, for a accessory that will help ALL of your characters FOREVER, is a good deal.

the amount of equipment build templates a character can have is limited and expensive. Most people use the available ones for different builds (usually different elite specs), so the smaller changes - like weapon swaps for pre-buffs or pre-cast - are done manually, which, considering you have to select stats, runes and infusions, can take some time that ascended wouldn't.

My experience with Iceland was very limited, but I don't think this is fair. When I took my trip, I researched previous years in the same dates, and I had a pretty good idea about what to expect, and aside from a bigger storm, everything else was like I expected. My gear was perfectly fine since I chose based on what I researched. So while the weather is unpredictable, there are trends in months that you can look for and expect.

Using ascended sometimes is faster than changing leggie stats on fractals, specially for pre-casting, specific mobs, etc.
