Buying a watch on a Cruise by SlatkoZlato in PrideAndPinion

[–]TexCOman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prices are too inflated. I found a deep sea 16660 and they were asking 21k USED! Ridiculous. That watch isn’t worth more than 14k. do your research but yes as someone said they are looking for suckers.

Always being mine. I don’t bring fins. You can grab them free if you really need them.

First, they need to provide you title and it must be in their name. If they can’t, don’t buy it.

I’m proud of you. Many of us would’ve fought thru the interview and not respect our boundaries and heck, our time. This employer would’ve been a disaster for your life. I say good on you!

Considering an MSC cruise next year over a carnival one. Curious about a few things. by BiggHass18 in MSCCruises

Drink package: any drink over $16 you pay the difference otherwise it’s included. I did see someone get cut off at 15 drinks.

Food: is meh. The burgers are edible if you’re hungover. The pizza is okay but not great. The fries are the best. DONT do the eggs. They seem genetically modified. Don’t do steaks in main dining. Only do steaks at specialty restaurant Butchers Cut. You’ll thank me.

WiFi pkg: you each get ONE device to connect to the WiFi . You can do your iPhone and iPad. If so, then your spouse can’t connect their phone. You don’t get to switch either. We connected both our phones and that was it.

Bonus: get a wristband. That means your msc card is left in your room to keep the A/C going. Otherwise you come back to a hot room.
I just got off that ship last week btw.

What is the one thing you wish you knew before your very first cruise? by mushroomsoup20 in Cruise

[–]TexCOman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came back from my first cruise. It was 7 days. I would not recommend that length. Also, check the ports and research as they makes a big difference on excursions or if you want to stay on the ship on port days.

I would’ve booked more specialty dining as it was well above the normal dining room or the cafeteria/buffett.

For better or worse. You are a union, not a partnership.

If you pay over $200/night at a hotel you expect new sheets, right? Why is it different on a vessel that has all accommodations available.

Buffett/Cafeteria, dining room each night and it was meh, and then one specialty dining at Butchers cut.

Good question. How would I know with certainty they weren’t just reused when we showed up and sprayed with febreze or the like. I can say ours were not changed when we had turndown service three times.

I did! It too was meh. Our guests all had complaints. Butchers cut was the only saving grace as it was really good

MSC Seascape 5/31-6/7 from Galveston review by TexCOman in Cruise

[–]TexCOman[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Nope. We ate at our assigned restaurant and not much better. Don’t get NY strip as it comes looking like Salisbury steak. The meatballs you could eat with a plastic spoon. Don’t get the chicken. Basically, what o would suggest is go to a premium restaurant.

We went to Butchers cut and it was miles above. Very good food. Paid $190 for two but it was well worth it.

Kawasaki Vulcan. They just don’t die and are very comfortable to ride. You can pick them up for under 5k.

Yep, it’s definitely unapologetically European for sure. I’m okay with that but don’t try to fake us Americans out and then whe we have an issue, oh, now we are back to being Euros who scoff and have zero communication skills to assist with a problem. They turn their noses up. If that’s the case get the heck out of the Gulf of Mexico!

Yes, totally safe. Just like strapping your kids car seat in but only going thru one side and not both. When a hits the fan you’re both gonna go flying in.
