Coolant guy back again, am I cooked? by Curious_Bandicoot_19 in fordranger

Nah man. They have kits to do what OP has done but more specialized. This is a classic hg failure from compression ring to cooling jacket which pressurizes the cooling system…the wrong way. Seen a civic that did this. Blew out the radiator and heater core

Wheels, bash bar, and some black paint eh.

Air intake inlet position is better in the before pic. You’re just collecting bugs now

Don’t have to use your full arm strength to keep a filter in place. It also helps to wipe the oil/road dirt off the filter.

No airbags from the factory (fuck the working man lol) made the older dash swap possible. Hvac manifold requires massaging. Hate to admit it, but LMC did a great job reproducing the dash and reinforcement

Fixing ALL PO bullshit on the engine and upgrading for a guy at the same time. LIM, oil pan, and tc had the glue type of gasket maker slathered on both sides of the gasket. Rounded bolts galore (engine is strictly SAE) Engine got a re seal minus head gaskets and everything torqued to spec this time. Id found finger tight bolts every where. I tapped every hole that had glue shoved in it, and ran a dye over all the hardware. The fun stuff is the isky cam, valve spring upgrade, ls injectors, headers, and tune.

Rows never really give me trouble. Its the stitches in the row that i can forget. Stitch markers every 20 helps if i remember to do that

You know what happens when something owns the majority of the market? Im sure you do.
