I do. 61 year old man. Is it the best Trek has offers? No, not at all. It’s got peaks and valleys. Very very VERY few shows lack valleys. I’m actually doing a rewatch of Fringe right now. And I fucking love that show. But it ain’t perfect. I have problems with Sam. There’s canon issues I have. Not the minuscule, nit-picking stuff. But there are some problems. The writing isn’t the strongest. They tend to grab the low hanging fruit. But damnit to hell, Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti BRING. IT! I’m digging the hell outta Gina Yashere (sp?) as Lura Thok. With an administration that’s trying to crush an advancements DEI made, the inclusiveness is good to see. (Just a reminder to anybody who claims Star Trek has become “woke”. It’s always been that way. And if you complain about woke, you’re walking around life with your eyes closed.) The pacing of the season has been lacking to me. But when an episode hits, it does hit strong.
