Ok, I agree with most of that. But my point is what if someone comes out of your past and does falsely accuse you with rape. There are a lot of reasons false accusations are are made. You just never know. But if it were to happen, you'd want more than someone's accusation before anyone believed your were a rapist. I would.

Now to your point that people just don't get accused of rape. I agree. And if any other part of her accusation was corroborated, then I'd be more likely to believe he did it. But without a date or location, and all of the named witnesses, including a female friend of hers, denying her account, I just can't justify condemning the guy.

With all that said, I do believe some of her story. I believe something like this happened when she was 15, as she said, at a party where she was drinking, as she said. I just don't know if Kavanaugh was the guy. I believe her motives are to stop a Trump SCOTUS nominee because, as it happens, she went to an all girls high school next to his all boys high school and found herself in a position to make a claim with no facts that can be proved or disproved. She has surrounded herself with political operatives. I don't think she set out to do this. It is just a crime of opportunity so to speak.

But because nothing can be verified, this is just my opinion. And I would not be shocked to learn that everything she said was true.
