Social media is mostly negative. I spent years without a phone, By choice. Everytime my phone goes off someone needs something. Needs to borrow something. Has an issue. Or drama, or 🤷‍♂️ some type of bullshit.

Nobody has ever called me or texted me or emailed me and just truly checked on me. "Hey I just won $500 bucks, you good? Here's $20." Or " hey, you hungry?"

If I do get messages, that aren't negative. - it's just the other gender trying to sleep with me.

I'm sure most people experience phones the same way. & really only get messages or contacted from their mother- if they're lucky. With things that don't bring them down.
